If you quickly glance at 38 Special and 357 Magnum ammo, you might not notice any differences and think they were the same round. Although they are almost identical in their case dimensions, the 38 Special and 357 Magnum are extremely different. |

I had a chance to catch up with Phil Journey at the NRA Annual Meetings back in April. He’s quite an interesting man with some long roots in the Second Amendment and with the NRA. He was on the list of four reform candidates last year in 2024. This year, of course, there were 28 reformers that people supported, many of whom got onto the NRA’s Board of Directors. The Glock A-Cut Aimpoint COA series guns have proven popular since their release, but the company is reportedly reining in consumer sales. The pistol maker debuted the concept in January, with G48, G43X, G19 Gen5, G45, and G47 models available. The COA, in turn, mounts into the Glock A-Cut via a wedge system that helps eliminate movement. The two companies developed the system jointly, and the pistol maker says it meets its 40,000-round endurance standard. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
The right of a citizen to bear arms, in lawful defense of himself or the State, is absolute. He does not derive it from the State government. It is one of the high powers" delegated directly to the citizen, and `is excepted out of the general powers of government.' A law cannot be passed to infringe upon or impair it, because it is above the law, and independent of the lawmaking power." [Cockrum v. State, 24 Tex. 394, at 401-402 (1859)] |
