In early 2020, Glock finally introduced a handgun chambered in the world’s most-popular cartridge: the .22 LR, giving us the Glock 44.

If, at first glance, you confuse this .22-caliber striker-fired pistol with the company’s Gen. 5 Model 19 (9 mm), then Glock accomplished its goal. The Model 44’s polymer frame is virtually identical, including all the controls, grip stippling and even the interchangeable backstraps for a custom fit. The real difference, notwithstanding the obvious bore difference, is the Model 44’s slide, which is made of polymer composite and reinforced in critical friction areas by steel.

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel joins 17 attorneys general to defend California’s ban on large-capacity magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition.

In a friend-of-the-court brief filed in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the coalition supports California’s petition for en banc review in Duncan v. Becerra, a case in which a divided three-judge panel struck down California’s ban.

A Missouri couple who made national headlines in June when they brandished guns to keep protesters off their property is scheduled to speak in the Lehigh Valley, thanks to some local Republicans.

Northampton County Republican Committee Chairperson Gloria Lee Snover said Mark and Patricia McCloskey of St. Louis will "do a rally event to wake up suburban voters about the Second Amendment, individual rights and defending your life and property” Sept. 17 at Fairview Park in Palmer Township.

The crime and rioting in the Democratic controlled cities is wide spread. In many cases the publicly elected officials are supporting this destruction. Many business owners are seeing their life’s work destroyed in one night. The mayors in these cities are trying to defund the police protection.

If the police are removed, who will protect the law-abiding citizens from the criminals? Self defense is a fundamental human right.

President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced a list of additions to the White House's shortlist of U.S. Supreme Court nominees, many of which have been outspoken on the right to keep and bear arms.

The new list of 20 could come in handy should Mr. Trump win reelection in November as the court's current nine jurists only include two who are under age 60 while another two, Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen Breyer, are well into their 80s.

"Over the next four years America’s president will choose hundreds of federal judges and in all likelihood one, two, three, and even four Supreme Court Justices," said Trump in a press conference.

President Donald Trump remarked that a Joe Biden presidency would mark an end for your Second Amendment rights. He said this at an event in Jupiter, Fla., on Tuesday.

“We’ll uphold your right to hunt, and we will protect your right to keep and bear arms—your Second Amendment,” said President Trump. “If Joe Biden gets in, your Second Amendment is gone. It’s gone—either obliterated to a point of being gone or gone itself.”

Radical justices will erase the Second Amendment, silence political speech, and require taxpayers to fund extreme late-term abortion. They will give unelected bureaucrats that power to destroy millions of American jobs. They will remove the words “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance. They will unilaterally declare the death penalty unconstitutional, even for the most depraved mass murderers. They will erase national borders, cripple police departments, and grant new protections to anarchists, rioters, violent criminals, and terrorists.

In an MIT Technology Review report, Donovan insists that recording and circulating “videos of violent altercations at protests in cities” online and feeding them into “a media ecosystem with an established bias toward highlighting violence and rioting” creates a self-fulfilling cycle where “white vigilantes feel justified in menacing and physically attacking racial justice protesters.”

In the days following a vigilante shooting in Kenosha, WI, activists and supporters launched GoFundMe pages soliciting donations for the families of the dead, the medical expenses of the injured, and the costs of the shooter’s legal defense. GoFundMe has since removed the legal defense fundraiser for Kyle Rittenhouse. For those who see the shooting as a case of self-defense, GoFundMe is attempting to deny a young man legal assistance for partisan reasons. Others, proceeding from the belief that Rittenhouse is a mass shooter, looked askance at Facebook’s initial failure to remove statements supporting him, likening #FreeKyle to genocide advocacy in Myanmar.

Herring and his colleagues filed an amicus brief today in the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in Duncan v. Bacerra, a lawsuit filed by California gun owners and an NRA affiliate challenging California’s ban on high-capacity magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition.

Similarly, those who seek to exercise their Constitutionally protected right to self defense must follow laws and apply for permits. But those who seek to physically assault law enforcement officers with deadly makeshift weapons aren’t subject to any waiting period at all.

It takes an extra-special level of entitlement for Marxists to attack both conservatives for supporting concealed carry and the police for using tear gas, while using their own fire bombs. Even the most hardened NRA member would be unlikely to lobby Congress for the right to “open carry” Molotov cocktails.

Ohio Senate President Larry Obhof wants to prevent government officials from shutting down licensed firearms dealers on either a statewide or regional basis.

Obhof, R-Medina, introduced Senate Bill 360, legislation that would stop any public official from issuing an order closing down licensed firearm dealers, an effort he believes infringes on Ohioans’ constitutional rights.

As more gun owners begin to carry firearms for self-defense, more carry-friendly handgun options have emerged — specifically slim compacts and subcompacts. Offering a favorable size-to-capacity ratio, guns like the GLOCK 43X/48, SIG SAUER P365/P365 XL and Springfield Armory Hellcat have become popular choices for those looking for a small package that packs a punch.

While thinking about the topic of the “general-purpose” rifle, I began to consider what a corollary handgun setup might look like—something useful for everything from target shooting to self-defense to game hunting, along with protection in black bear or big-cat country.

It didn’t take long to realize that, for such a versatile role, the revolver still has a lot to recommend it. A good example will typically address the aforementioned requirements with an excellent single-action trigger, good mechanical reliability, vast ammunition options and greater power than semi-automatics of comparable size.

The man who returned fire will not be charged because he was acting in self-defense, LPD Sgt. Robert Kirby said.

South by Southwest is no stranger to spectacle, and one Monday in 2015, a group of armed Black activists marching through Downtown chanting anti-police sentiments became part of the Festival experience. "We wanted to change the conversation about Black self-defense, Black open carry, [and] police brutality, and we wanted to do it on a bigger scale," Dallas resident Rakem Balogun recently told the Chronicle. "Going to the Capitol during South by Southwest was a great way to change that conversation."

A Republican state representative recently scored a legal victory in his fight against a ban on firearms at the Statehouse in Concord.

The New Hampshire Supreme Court sided with Rep. John Burt, R-Goffstown, but stopped short of overturning the ban.

New Hampshire Public Radio reported that Burt filed a lawsuit in response to the ban, calling it an infringement of his Second Amendment rights. In 2018, the majority Democratic New Hampshire House of Representatives enacted a rule forbidding weapons inside Representatives Hall.

While a lower court tossed Burt’s complaint, the four-member Supreme Court opined that the judicial branch does not have a role to play when internal rules raise constitutional questions.

This comes after a new state law was passed in Virginia giving localities more authority to ban firearms in public spaces.

Thanks to a strong public response, the Second Amendment Foundation announced today it is extending and expanding its “Second Amendment First Responder’ advertising campaign to include new channels next week.

“We’re delighted with the response and it is helping us expand the reach of our project,” said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. “The more people we reach with the ‘2A First Responder’ program, the better our ability to defend this important constitutional right.”

There are more instances of the abridgement of the freedom of the people by the gradual and silent encroachment of those in power, than by violent and sudden usurpation. — James Madison
