A bill to create national reciprocity for the concealed carry of firearms was introduced in the Senate this week, one day after a similar measure was introduced in the House of Representatives.
The legislation, known as the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, would allow individuals with concealed carry privileges in their home state to carry guns in the same manner in any other state with concealed carry laws. |

According to Zuckerburg, those days are now over. He claims he recognizes that censorship is a detriment to society. He highlighted that the fact-checkers have been wrong and let their political bias seep into their process. One example of this happening was during the 2020 presidential election cycle. Third-party fact-checkers from France marked an article claiming that Kamala Harris does not support an individual’s right to bear arms as “false.” This reporter posted the Amicus brief filed by Harris in the Heller case, where she argued against the right to bear arms. It was posted without context. The fact checkers marked it false even though it was taken directly from the Supreme Court’s website. |

Gun reciprocity is a big deal. This means that a state agrees to recognize gun permits given out by other states. Minnesota has a reciprocity agreement with 20 other states. This indicates they accept the legality of firearms permits from these states. However, problems arise when we look at the states not included in this agreement.
The lawsuit reveals how this limitation negatively impacts truck drivers, especially those from states with lenient gun laws. For instance, truckers from Texas, Florida, and Georgia face a challenge. These are all considered to be gun-friendly states, and yet their permits hold no water in Minnesota. |

The Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) is once again in the courtroom fighting for the Second Amendment rights of Americans. On Tuesday, the organization filed a motion for summary judgment in a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of Massachusetts’ ban on several modern handgun models.
In Granata v. Campbell, FPC’s motion argues that the commonwealth’s ban on many common handguns, including the ubiquitous Glock 19, runs afoul of the Second Amendment when examined under the precedents set in Heller and Bruen. |

A tense domestic altercation turned into a justified act of self-defense when a pregnant mother of two was forced to protect herself and her children from an aggressive ex-partner on Monday evening.
Devaris Hampton, 36, was shot after attempting to force his way into the mother’s home on the 7600 block of Main Street. The woman, nine months pregnant with Hampton’s child and already the mother of their 2-year-old daughter, had ended the relationship but found herself under siege as Hampton reportedly beat on the front door and shattered a window in an effort to gain entry. |

Carry guns, and our EDC setups are unique to every gun owner that chooses to carry a firearm for self-defense. There is no correct answer to what gun to carry or what holster to use. Hell, even where to carry a gun is something that can be debated without finding a “one size fits all” answer. But what we can do is share our reasonings for what we do.
In Bruce Lee’s book, The Tao of Jeet Kung Do, the martial arts master posed that we should take what is useful to us and leave what is left behind. Most people leave off the part of the book where Lee explains what works for you might not work for me and vice versa. This philosophy can absolutely apply to concealed gun carriers. |

If passed, the bill could be a massive victory for Second Amendment rights, which have been under attack in blue states after the Supreme Court’s ruling in New York Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen.
Kennedy said the bill “would affirm Americans’ fundamental liberties while respecting every state’s right to make their own laws,” in a press release.
Cornyn noted that the proposed legislation “would reduce unnecessary burdens for law-abiding citizens and allow them to carry a concealed firearm in every state that permits it.” |

Republican Texas Sen. John Cornyn introduced a bill Thursday to allow concealed carry license holders to carry their guns in any state.
The bill, titled the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, will compel states to recognize concealed carry permits from all states as a valid certification to carry a concealed firearm, according to the bill text. A similar bill was proposed in the House in 2023 by Republican North Carolina Rep. Richard Hudson with widespread Republican support, with a Republican majority in both chambers only bolstering the law’s likelihood to pass.
President-elect Donald Trump has also voiced support for the law on the campaign trail. |

Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., has introduced a bill to abolish the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
In a statement, she said the bureau should be eliminated before it “eventually” abolishes the Second Amendment.
“I cannot imagine under any circumstance or administration where the ATF serves as an ally to the Second Amendment and law-abiding firearm owners across America,” Boebert said Wedensday. “As co-chair of the Congressional Second Amendment Caucus, I’m eager to continue this effort with Rep. Burlison to defend our constitutional rights.” |

“The Second Amendment helps protect all of our constitutional rights. This bill would affirm Americans’ fundamental liberties while respecting every state’s right to make their own laws.” Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) today joined Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) and colleagues in introducing the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act. The bill would allow individuals with concealed carry privileges in their home states to exercise those rights in any other state that allows concealed carry, so long as one exercises those rights within the limits of each respective state’s laws. |

Only about a third of the 71,277 requests conclusively led to a U.S. purchaser. But information gleaned from those computer database “hits” allowed U.S. investigators to conclude 76% of those guns were sold in Southwest border states. Most ended up in crime scenes in Mexican provinces besieged by transnational criminal organizations. |

HR 45, known as the Firearm Industry Nondiscrimination (FIND) Act, ensures that corporations cannot gain from contracts and subcontracts funded by taxpayers while using their financial power to unfairly discriminate against the firearm industry. The act does not dictate to companies whom they can do business with, but just as companies have the freedom to choose their business partners, the government can make similar decisions when spending taxpayers’ money. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
Some writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins ... Society is in every state a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one. — THOMAS PAINE |
