Without any ability to defend themselves, the Jewish population could easily be sent to concentration camps for the Final Solution. After World War II began, Nazi authorities continued to register and mistrust civilian firearm owners, and German resistence to the Nazi regime was unsuccessful--

This column, by Gil Spencer, in the Daily Times, Delaware County, PA
is the first of two detailing the use of a firearm by Linda McClaren, a domestic abuse victim
to defend herself from her abuser. This is in response to a recent shooting in which a counselor at the Delaware County Domestic Violence Project
does not advocate the ownership of firearms.

and the general position of anti-domestic violence groups elsewhere, who do not recommend the use of firearms by domestic abuse victims

In England, "The number of crimes involving handguns
reached its highest level for seven years in 2000."

How could that be, since they rounded up all the guns?
