"The Second Amendment cannot be the final word on the subject. There is a long history of precedent in American jurisprudence that says the rights of society at large must at times outweigh the rights of the individual. Since there is more gun violence in America than anywhere else in the western world, clearly the rights of society at large to be safe from guns violence must be considered."

-------
Obviously, this misinformed, drooling, catatonic Brady disciple has missed stories of escalating gun violence and disarmed victims caught in the crossfire in the gun control haven of the United Kingdom.

He's charged with misdemeanor voyeurism."

Is that what they call perverse abuses by those tasked with serving and protecting - "a-boys-will-be-boys" thing?

Well if he likes unarmed, defenseless victims, he’s picked the right town for it—thanks to the anti-defense political establishment and their despicable cheerleaders at the Los Angeles Times.

'You give all these mans carrying guns five-year sentences, what do you think is gonna happen when these people are all in the same prison? Are they not still gonna fight? "Christine Fulton says her husband would not have wanted to carry a gun, even though it could have saved his life when he confronted teenage knifeman Philip McFadden."

No, of course he wouldn't have wanted to carry a gun. It could only have saved his life, kept him alive and happy with his family and taken an armed criminal off the streets of the UK. Who would want that?

"He began hunting in 1943 when he was 13 years old and has been at it ever since. He built his first custom rifle in 1956 and very quickly became one of the premier American gunmakers. There are a few men who can equal Jerry Fisher’s work, but no one can do better. Today, at 71, he is still a hunter and a gunsmith, and it’s doubtful if there is anyone who knows more about fine rifles—and their use in the field."

"Badly needed in the U.S. are strict gun-control laws aimed at removing guns from the streets and reducing a firearm homicide rate from 10 to a 100 times higher than that of other civilized nations. In developing such laws, perhaps we should consider, with reservations reflecting our culture and traditions, the firearm penalties meted out in countries whose populations are among the safest in the world — e.g., Singapore."

-------
Obviously the author hasn't read about the zero effect his beloved gun control laws have had on gun crime in other countries.

"Licensed dealers sell about 15,000 firearms a year at these shows, state police report. Each sale is subject to a background check. But nothing prevents a criminal who is turned down at the table of a licensed dealer from stepping across the aisle where the wares of an unlicensed dealer are for sale."

-------
Considering that less than one percent of criminals get their guns at gun shows, if the gun show "loophole" is such a problem, why is it that the criminals don't patronize these gun shows in droves?

"I sat down with a list of bizarre, amazing claims that Bellesiles had made, and started chasing down the citations at Sonoma State University’s library. I found quotations of out of context that completely reversed the author’s original intent. I found dates changed. I found the text of statutes changed—and the changes completely reversed the meaning of the law. It took me twelve hours of hunting before I found a citation that was completely correct. In the intervening two years, I have spent thousands of hours chasing down Bellesiles’s citations, and I have found many hundreds of shockingly gross falsifications."

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling in terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? [...] The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!" —Alexander Solzhenitsyn, The Gulag Archipelago (Chapter 1 "Arrest")
