School officials have suspended a
third-grade student under the state's zero-tolerance weapons law after
he brought a 1 1/2-inch-long gun-shaped medallion to class.

Just goes to show Twain was right.
The main difference between genius and

"Las Vegas city employees soon will be allowed to carry guns at work under a new policy, provided they have a state-issued concealed-weapons permit. The policy change comes nearly two months after Mayor Oscar Goodman called for a ban on all firearms at City Hall and said their presence had a "chilling effect" on city employees. Goodman's comments referred to City Councilman Michael McDonald...who frequently brought firearms to work..."

"The ISRA is applauding a proposal offered by Chicago Aldermen Beavers, Burke and Mell that would end an 18-year moratorium on handgun registration in the city. The moratorium, instituted by then-mayor Jayne Byrne, prohibited the registration of new handguns and established the requirement that currently registered handguns be re-registered on a yearly basis."

Do you like political satire? Enjoy this web site that takes a humorous poke at Handgun Contol Inc. HCI may soon use its legal muscle to close down free speech sites like this, so visit while you can. HCI does not respect the First Amendment any more than it does the Second. Well, at least they are consistent.

A national organization, KeepAndBearArms.com, joined the fray, AOL reports feeling no effect of a boycott.
AOL's national spokesman, Nicholas Graham, in Virginia.

"There are hundreds of thousands of dot-com organizations lobbying for some kind of cause that pop up each day and disappear just as quickly," Graham said.
