New Mexico gun owners already find themselves under plenty of attack with Democrat Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham recently instituting a 30-day ban on concealed and open carry of firearms in Albuquerque and surrounding Bernalillo County. Now anti-gun state legislators are piling on, pre-filing two measures that would further infringe on New Mexico Citizens’ Second Amendment rights. |

Today, January 16th, the Illinois General Assembly begins its second year of the 2023-2024 legislative session. Last year, an anti-gun bill mandating firearm seizures passed the House. This legislation could be considered again. Gun owners and sportsmen throughout the state must stay actively involved to defend freedom.

Here we go again. Every so often, some “brilliant” firearm prohibitionist comes up with the “insight” that if gun bans are unconstitutional, ammunition should be targeted instead. This is akin to the old tactic of cracking down on ink and paper supplies as a means of curtailing First Amendment expression and is just as unconstitutional. We saw an attempt by the government to ban one of the most popular types of ammunition for America’s most popular rifle during the Obama/Biden administration, when ATF suddenly (and inaccurately) reclassified M855 rounds as “armor piercing.” That overreaching move not only failed to go the distance, it was followed by the resignation of the ATF’s then director, B. Todd Jones. |

A few weeks ago, Minnesota’s State Emblems Redesign Commission settled on new designs for our flag and seal. I have been getting quite a bit of emails and calls about both. Judging by that feedback, you likely are not thrilled with the new flag. I certainly understand your frustration. I don’t think the flag needed to change either, nor do I take seriously the idea that the previous flag and seal were racist. The flag and seal were our shared history. Now we risk losing that history.

Palmetto State Armory has long been known for making affordable firearms. I once heard a podcast with one of the owners saying that they do everything they can to keep the cost down on their products so that anybody who wants to practice their Second Amendment rights is able to do so. He also went on to say that the more guns he can get into law-abiding citizens’ hands, the harder it would be for the government to ever take our Second Amendment rights away. |

Some of my guns are collectible items that rarely leave the safe. But my favorite guns are the ones that get to join me on prolonged shooting adventures at the range or out hunting. I don’t have much interest in anything fancy, new, or shiny for those needs. In fact, I prefer something that’s used. So, when I needed a backup hunting shotgun, I went straight to the used market and snagged one of the most budget-friendly options I could find that still had a solid reputation: the Maverick 88 from Mossberg.

A study by the Center for Justice Research (CJR) shows violent crime in Ohio decreased after the state adopted constitutional carry.
Constitutional carry recognizes the Second Amendment as a carry permit, allowing law-abiding citizens to carry a concealed handgun for self-defense without first acquiring a permit from their state government. |

Members of the state House of Representatives heard public opinion on a list of gun-related bills Tuesday morning, drawing passionate testimony from people on both sides of the gun-control debate. House Bill 1902 would require permits for gun buyers and House Bill 2054 limits gun purchases to one per month. Gun dealers would have to follow new state safety and security guidelines under House Bill 2118, gun owners would have to report lost or stolen firearms within 24 hours under House Bill 1903, and the Washington State Patrol would be required to destroy any guns seized or forfeited under House Bill 2021. |

A common and righteous complaint about our political system is regarding voter fraud. When even a single miss-vote gets cast, everyone else’s vote is diminished. Now, multiply that by hundreds, by thousands or even hundreds of thousands of faulty or fraudulent votes. As the number of false votes increases, so does the degree to which one’s political power is compromised. |

If you want to increase the stopping power of your standard AR-15 chambered in 5.56 NATO, then the 300 Blackout and 6.8 SPC are excellent options. Both rifle cartridges offer improved terminal ballistics over the 5.56 and function well for home defense, hunting, and general target shooting. |

The 12 gauge shotgun is considered by many as one of the most versatile firearms for both big game hunting and self-defense. A shotgun’s stopping power is unmatched, and it offers homeowners, hunters, and law enforcement an incredibly potent platform for both long and close-range engagements. |

Gun control is not an effort to regulate firearms to promote public safety. Instead, it is a long-term project to disarm Americans and eliminate the right to self-defense. That has never been more blatant or undeniable than it is now. Even as the U.S. Supreme Court has underscored the Second Amendment’s import and scope, firearm prohibitionists have defiantly launched their most-vindictive schemes to suppress gun ownership. |

When Florida became the 26th state to adopt constitutional carry, corporate media and Democrats lost their minds. None of the requirements for how citizens obtained guns in the Sunshine State changed when Florida House Bill 543 became law July 1, 2023. That didn’t stop the anti-gun press, which were not welcome at the signing, from claiming that permitless concealed carry would exacerbate shootings. |

Prepare yourselves to be shocked: David French has something critical to say about conservatives! The man landed on our annual list of insufferable journos for this very behavior of being a “conservative” always criticizing the right, while never managing to find objectionable activity left of center – and he is at it yet again. This time, you have disappointed Dave by being critical of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs, and he is having none of your arrested thinking on the matter! |
