A 19-year-old man shot off his pinkie toe Thursday after his cellphone antenna got caught in the trigger of his gun, according to a Greenville County Sheriff's Office spokesman.

The man told investigators that he was holding the gun facing the floor as he was preparing to shoot targets near his Old Parker home, said Master Deputy Michael Hildebrand. The gun went off accidentally, Hildebrand said.
