Facebook is prohibiting ads for firearm accessories and will be removing content containing “Stop the Steal” verbiage as part of the platform’s pre-Biden inauguration policies.
Facebook announced: “We already prohibit ads for weapons, ammunition and weapon enhancements like silencers. But we will now also prohibit ads for accessories such as gun safes, vests and gun holsters in the US.”

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) released a finalized rule Thursday to end discrimination by financial service providers against the firearms industry and more. The rule will “ensure fair access to banking services provided by large national banks, federal savings associations, and federal branches and agencies of foreign bank organizations.” In essence, the rule guarantees that fair access to banking is given to all industries based on financial merit, rather than for political reasons.

The Powder Room in Bay County opened the day after Christmas in 2020, and already, employees said they’ve seen guns and ammunition flying off the shelves. “Sales have just been brisk, there’s been a lot of demand for everything from ammunition to firearms, and obviously the (things) that support all of that,” The Powder Room general manager Joe Preston said. |

It was a long-range shooting sport in which the targets were the silhouettes of game animals cut from steel plate and placed in banks of five at 50, 100, 150 and 200 meters.

A small group of armed demonstrators rallied outside of the State Capitol building Sunday. According to the Associated Press, about a dozen protestors openly carried guns, including some who promoted the anti-government “boogaloo” movement. They say the term was adopted by the pro-gun extremist movement, and is in reference to a “sequel” or second U.S. civil war.

While the final muzzleloader numbers were nothing spectacular, the deer harvest throughout Ohio continues to grow. In fact, with over 189,000 deer checked in so far and three weeks of bow season left, hunters have already surpassed last year’s tally of 184,468 deer by nearly 5,000.

The embattled National Rifle Association announced Friday it has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division and will reorganize the association as a nonprofit in the Lone Star State.
The announcement came in a message posted at the NRA’s website in which NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre asserts much of the organization’s problems are attributable to “the toxic political environment of New York.”

Law enforcement prepared for crowds at the Capitol building in Salem on Sunday. When the time came, only a few dozen protesters showed up. The group referred to themselves as the Liberty Boys and said they wanted to be armed to send a message about gun rights. One member, who did not want to share his name, instead giving a nickname, said this event was planned months in advance.
