A police constable posted at a security post inside Singha Durbar, was killed Wednesday morning when he accidentally pulled the trigger of his rifle, security personnel at Singh Durbar said.
According to the source, the accident took place as the deceased Wakil Magar inadvertently pulled the trigger of his rifle while unloading it during change of duty at around 6:30 am.
The source further said that Magar was immediately rushed to Birendra Police Hospital for treatment but doctors declared him dead at 7:10 am.

A postman was shot in his left buttock with what is believed to have been an air rifle.
Police said the victim was riding his bike down Middleton Road in Carshalton on Monday at 11.30am when four white youths drove past him in a large black saloon car.
He was wearing a heavy duty jacket but still suffered bruising as a result of the shooting.
