On Thursday, a 60-year-old man with a license to carry shot a 16-year-old male who attempted to carjack him, FOX26 reported. The victim told police that the teen and an accomplice had pointed a gun in his face before he drew his own weapon and exchanged gunfire. The teen was wounded and later arrested.
A third incident happened on Jan. 3 when two men carjacked a Lyft driver who had a license to carry a firearm. The driver shot both suspects, who were each wounded and arrested shortly after the incident. |

The New Mexico Legislature began its 30-day budget session today and Bloomberg-backed national anti-gun organizations are already demanding more gun control! Last fall, representatives from Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety testified before an interim committee that the Legislature needed to pass a bill imposing state-mandated firearm storage restrictions. Their “gold standard” for firearm storage is requiring New Mexico gun owners to store all guns unloaded, locked and separate from ammunition at all times when not in use.

Introduced in 1902 in the Luger semi-automatic pistol, it is the 9mm Luger or 9mm Parabellum or 9×19. It was adopted by the German Navy in 1904 then the German Army in 1908 assuring it would become very popular in Europe.

Terms of the one-year base agreement include a four-year extension option. Bobby Timmons, director of the Alabama Sheriff’s Association (ASA), is so opposed to acknowledging your inherent right-to-carry, and wants so badly to protect the revenue stream from permit fees, that he openly opposes the Second Amendment and allies with anti-gun extremists. He said in a media interview that the ASA is working with a Bloomberg-backed, national anti-gun group in order to oppose the constitutional carry legislation currently in the Alabama Legislature.

300 v 556? It almost sounds like a court case. DC v Heller, Roe v Wade, etc. The truth is, many shooters look at this as if it really is some kind of court case. The problem with that thought is simple. The jury is still out for many of us. There are people who are fueling their flamethrowers as you read this. The title alone will get their ire chain on the big sprocket and they’re reading to burn anyone on the other side of this discussion to the ground.

Last week, two gun control advocates – who described themselves as a “crime analyst” and a “data scientist” -- published an article in the anti-gun publication The Atlantic blaming the 2020 spike in homicide rates on that years’ surge in gun sales from federally licensed dealers (FFLs). In other words, they want readers to believe that Americans were buying guns from FFLs and then quickly turning around and using them to kill other people.

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
Besides the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation, the existence of subordinate governments, to which the people are attached, and by which the militia officers are appointed, forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple government of any form can admit of. Notwithstanding the military establishments in the several kingdoms of Europe, which are carried as far as the public resources will bear, the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. — James Madison, The Federalist Papers, No. 46 |
