CBS News reported all five of the weekend’s shooting fatalities occurred on Sunday, beginning with a man who was shot in the head and transported in a private vehicle for medical treatment at 4:10 a.m. He died at Holy Cross Hospital.

West Virginia senators introduced legislation Monday that would automatically restore broad firearm rights in the state if federal gun laws are repealed or struck down by courts. Senate Bill 478, sponsored by Senators Rose, Helton, M. Maynard and Rucker, is titled the “Second Amendment Reaffirmation and Protection Act.”
