I was once perusing my local gun forum and someone posted a question, “Which is better for big game hunting in North America? 300 Win Mag or 300 WSM?” The users who answered all began debating differences in ballistics, case capacity, terminal performance, and ammo selection.
However, I’d like to pose a simpler answer: Yes! |

A three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled unanimously that a 48-day COVID-19-related shutdown of gun stores and shooting ranges in two California counties in the spring of 2020 violated the Second Amendment.
The cases are known as McDougall v. Ventura County and Martinez v. Villaneuva. In the McDougall case, SAF was joined by the California Gun Rights Foundation (CGRF), Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) and two private citizens. In the Martinez case, SAF was joined by CGRF, FPC and the National Rifle Association. |

What's been even more disheartening than the Democrats' destructive combination of viciousness and ineptitude has been that Republican congresspeople are supine. Most of them crumble when anyone says "racist" or "January 6." Worse still are those Republicans who have chosen to ally with the Democrats regarding everything from January 6 to the radical LGBTQ+ agenda. The only way to change this is through the primaries. South Carolina is illustrative.

A bill in the Georgia General Assembly would eliminate the need to get a firearms carry license, moving the state toward what is known as “constitutional carry” under the Second Amendment. Rep. Emory Dunahoo, R-Gillsville, introduced his original constitutional carry bill, House Bill 2, before last year’s session but said he believes the legislature and Gov. Brian Kemp will move it forward in this year’s session.

Efficiency is good, but there is a danger in oversimplifying ideas that actually have nuances that can really matter. Here’s one such example: The notion that you should only carry jacketed hollow points or other expanding ammunition. That’s the simple version, and by and large it’s true but there are some situations in which that is actually too simple.

We are all familiar with the idea that lies can grow. It is, however, doubtful any of us have ever told a fib that grew as big as the Left’s lie about America’s gun-owning public. Simply stated, this lie claims that all of America’s armed citizens are to blame for the illegal behavior of criminals who use guns.

Partner companies Browning and Winchester did not shy away from SHOT Show 2022 as many other players did. In fact, they debuted a serious number of new firearms and ammunition lines that hunters will want to take note. While the numerous finish, camouflage, and options on the X-Bolt centerfire hunting rifle lines often take center stage, there was plenty more to love from the BuckMark brand at SHOT. Check it out.

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
The supposed quietude of a good mans allures the ruffian; while on the other hand, arms like laws discourage and keep the invader and the plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property. The same balance would be preserved were all the world destitute of arms, for all would be alike; but since some will not, others dare not lay them aside...Horrid mischief would ensue were one half the world deprived of the use of them... — Thomas Paine, I Writings of Thomas Paine at 56 (1894). |
