"A judge who went ahead with a hearing after the defendant had collapsed following a small stroke apologized after sentencing the man to nearly three years in prison on a gun charge. . . He sentenced Gorsuch to 33 months in prison for possessing guns after being convicted of slapping his wife."
I make no excuses for this "man" hitting his wife. But prison time because he didn't turn in his guns afterward? Things are getting out of hand, real quick.

"Gun-control advocates are calling on Attorney General-designate John Ashcroft to relinquish his National Rifle Association membership, saying it would be a conflict for him to remain affiliated with the gun lobby while enforcing the nation's gun laws."
While he's at it, after he's confirmed, he might as well withdraw his Oath to uphold the Constitution. That would seem appropriate considering some other views of his. |

It's because of the drugs; it's the gun's fault; my friend shouldn't have had his face in front of the barrel; it's not my fault... Kill someone while stoned/drunk then "vow" to straighten out and the teary-eyed liberal judge will give you six, parole in two, instead of the hard 70 which JUSTICE calls for - at a minimum. This "judge" should be tossed. |

First they admit that gun-related CRIME has increased since the handgun ban. Then they say Britian will be compiling a database of LEGAL gun owners. This "solution" does not follow rational or logical thinking.
Obviously, confiscation will be coming soon to Great Britian.
Although this does not come as a surprise to many of you, you MUST heed this warning and not allow your elected officials to follow through with similar gun control measures. |

Good article about the Citizens of America ad campaign.
However, "The future also looks dim, Puckett said, if more support is not forthcoming."
"At the moment, we're again having to consider folding up the tent," he said. "A damned shame, I think, because if we hang in there long enough, I think we can grow as a great pro-gun rights tool." |

"CALGARY - The federal government says the vast majority of gun owners – about 87 per cent – are complying with the new laws which came into effect in January, leaving about 300,000 gun owners now breaking the law." ~~~ You'll pardon me if I assert that the federal government is LYING. No way they went from 20% to 87% in two months. NONE. |

"Gore will teach a course called 'Covering National Affairs in the Information Age,' which will look at politics from the perspective of politicians and journalists, the university said in a statement Wednesday."
Maybe he'll start to think about what it's like to be ignored by a media that once worshipped him... |
