The open tip match bullet (OTM) is primarily used as a target shooting ammo, hence the word “match” – but what is match ammo? There seems to be a massive debate about this particular term (OTM), because it comes across as a hollow point when it's technically not, and it can cause some confusion. The military can use it because it’s technically not a hollow point, but some hunters can’t because it is a hollow point. This is probably the most controversial term of any bullet currently in use today. |

In 1980, Remington Arms Company developed the 7mm-08 Remington cartridge as a round for multiple applications, from small-game hunting to competitive long-range shooting. Though the wildcat cartridge had been part of the hunting and shooting scene for years, Remington boosted the appeal of the cartridge by chambering it in their Model 700 and Model 788 rifles, and also their unique bolt action pistol, the XP-100.

The National Rifle Association (NRA) and other pro-Second Amendment organizations filed a lawsuit today challenging the Illinois law signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker that bans commonly owned firearms and magazines. "The Supreme Court already ruled that the Second Amendment protects the right to keep arms that are commonly used by the people,” said John Weber, NRA Illinois state director. "Gov. Pritzker's decision to ignore the court and sign this bill demonstrates a blatant disregard for the rule of law and a willful ignorance of the nightmare he and his anti-gun allies in the statehouse have created with their soft-on-crime policies." |

California Congresswoman Judy Chu, who represents the state’s 28th Congressional District, reportedly called for universal background checks in the wake of Saturday night’s tragic mass shooting in Monterey Park, telling CBS News it should have passed “a long time ago.” “But in California,” noted Alan Gottlieb, chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, “that has been the law for quite some time. The gun allegedly used in this horrible attack is already illegal in the state. Yet, Rep. Chu is making statements suggesting her state needs more gun control when it is clear the laws she wants are already on the books, and they did not prevent the tragedy in Monterey Park.” |

Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito have recently expressed concern about their security. Of course, we should all share that concern. But have these justices given the same attention to how their and the other Republican-appointed justices’ expansion of the Second Amendment over the last 15 years has affected the security of the rest of us? |
