A Wauwatosa man is under federal investigation for selling guns without a proper license, buying more than 500 firearms from an outdoors store and then selling them through a website or at gun shows, according to newly unsealed court documents.
The guns, primarily used firearms, were purchased from 13 Gander Mountain stores across Wisconsin and sold through the website Gunbroker, according to a search warrant unsealed in federal court in Milwaukee last week. |

One of the most striking things about America’s climate change deniers is the absolute, near-messianic certainty that they bring to the debate. It’s almost as if they have adopted the zero-gray-area Second Amendment fundamentalism of the National Rifle Association and are aggressively applying it to the question of how we best secure the long-term health and wellbeing of the human species.

A review of active shooter cases by the Air Force has confirmed what gun rights advocates have long been saying: Firearms in the hands of good guys are often the best bet for stopping massacres.
The military branch earlier this month sent out a letter to its base commanders around the nation reminding them that they can authorize subordinates to carry guns, even while off-duty and out of uniform. It also established three programs to help ensure that armed service members are in a position to protect their bases. |

A new study from Boston University has found a strong correlation between a state’s rate of gun ownership and its rate of women murdered by people they know. The article, soon to be published in Violence and Gender, stands to combat claims from conservatives that guns make women safer. In fact, relaxing gun laws may have dire implications for domestic violence.

A new bill in the South Carolina House aims to better protect children by creating new “School Protection Officers,” who would be teachers, administrators or any other school employees who would be allowed to carry guns or pepper spray at school. The school employees would volunteer for the additional responsibilities and would have to go through a new two-week training program at the Criminal Justice Academy. School employees who have concealed weapons permits would be allowed to carry their guns at school, as long as they keep them concealed or locked in a school firearm safe. |

Progressives love to ridicule Americans who are concerned that their Second Amendment rights are being threatened by a gun control-obsessed Obama administration. “No one is coming for your precious guns,” the hoplophobes taunt. “We just want commonsense gun laws.” Except that the pursuit of “commonsense gun laws,” which already exist, is just a smokescreen – President Obama and his crew really are coming for your precious guns. |

A bill making its way through the South Carolina legislature could make it easier for gun owners to carry their weapons across state lines. It would allow people with carry permits in South Carolina to take their weapons in Georgia without penalty.
While nearly every South Carolina state lawmaker supports this gun reciprocity, state law enforcement isn’t crazy about the idea.

With its cold-hammer-forged and spiral-fluted barrel, the LWRCI IC-DI stands out from the crowd. There's more to it than that, though. The rifle, the company’s first direct-gas-impingement design, proved remarkably accurate. It was fitted with a Nikon M-223 2-8X 40 mm riflescope for evaluation. |

On Friday, East Chicago, Indiana, councilman Robert Battle was sworn into office for a second term.
This time around, however, the event was a rather low-key event. Instead of the mayor conducting the ceremony, it was an "unnamed official," according to the Chicago Tribune. And instead of City Hall, the venue was the county jail. |
