"What has become known as 'The Emerson Case" has been largely overrated and articulated by the left and the right. Defenders of the Second Amendment and radical left-wing gun grabbers have attributed too much to the single case and less to the essence of the core issue and facts."

"A man of 76 who stabbed a noisy football fan through the heart was jailed for three years for manslaughter yesterday."

"John Martindale plunged an 8 in kitchen knife into the chest of Keith Rea, 21, who died in the arms of his pregnant girlfriend..."

-------
His sentence? Three years for manslaughter. He "was spared a lengthy prison term because of his age." Is murder less wrong when you're 76?

In an interesting contrast, rural farmer Tony Martin shot two career burglars who had broken into his house, killing one of them. HE got life in prison for murder.

"Rangers confiscated equipment Simcox was carrying: his pistol, two two-way radios, a police scanner, a cellular phone and a digital camera. 'It's evidence of him conducting a non-permitted activity in the national park,' Weigand said."

-------
Thus start harassment and lies about citizens protecting America's borders, when, obviously, their government has failed to do so.

No just stand by and idly watch a disarmed victim get raped, brutalized or killed and wait for the police to arrive. You will never have the right to defend yourself or others with a firearm, so might as well just sit back and watch the show. What kind of an absurd country is this?

"Although his wife, Carol, demanded to stay and oversee the search, the police told her to go outside or she'd be arrested. Then, they searched the home. According to family friend Norm Minard, the RCMP took the couple's firearms, ammunition and registration papers, guns, gun powder, primers and registration papers that Ward had been storing for other people, Ward's diary cataloguing the contact he'd had with police leading up to the search, personal telephone numbers and addresses and gun club papers and records. Then, bizarrely, a bullet collection, books, bullet moulds, a portable search light, certificates, diplomas and even a decorative scrimshaw powder horn hung as artwork on the wall."

An alleged anti-gunner's view of the Bushmaster lawsuit.

-------
"OK, to set the record straight, I hate guns — with a passion! I would be happy if we shot them all into the sun, or somewhere equally inaccessible, and were done with them. However, some people actually like these evil bringers of death and destruction, and on top of that, it is legal to own one. This means it is also legal to buy one, which means it is legal to sell one, meaning it is legal to make one. Stupid, stupid Second Amendment."

"Of course, I will concede that guns alone cannot kill a human being; triggers require fingers to pull them. However, if used responsibly, a gun is not just a weapon, but a tool as well. Some people hunt for their food and some people feel it necessary to protect themselves by any means possible."

"People have a demand for guns, and the vast majority of those people own and use them responsibly. I would like to make all guns illegal, but until that happens, I cannot fault someone for legally supplying people with a good that they demand. You cannot sue a company for making a product legally!"
