We’ve seen many stories where young men and women defended themselves or their family with a firearm. We’ve talked around the issue of teenagers and guns, but let’s look at it directly.
When should we teach our children about firearms? The obvious answer is to teach your children when it is the safest thing to do: there are risks on both sides. Fortunately, we make similar decisions about our children’s education all the time. |

Years ago, I started searching for the ultimate town and country handgun. I wanted a pistol that could handle wild pigs, errant coyotes, and the occasional white tail deer if the opportunity presented itself. The same gun needed to perform double duty for personal defense and be small enough to reasonably conceal under an untucked shirt. At the time, the 4″ Smith & Wesson Model 610 was high on my list of candidates, but I could just never find one available. |

In an attempt to deflect from their own woeful mismanagement, Mexican politicians often try to blame the country’s violent crime problem on Americans’ Second Amendment rights. However, recent news regarding at least one drug cartel manufacturing their own firearms and public corruption show that Mexico’s problems go far deeper than the rights enjoyed by their wealthy neighbors to the north. |

The Virginia Senate passed a bill allowing judges to consider several factors before issuing substantial risk protection orders, also known as “red-flag” orders, that let police seize guns from those deemed a threat to themselves or others. The legislation from state Sen. Scott A. Surovell (D-Fairfax) advanced to the Republican-controlled Virginia House of Delegates, where it is expected to be defeated, nearly along party lines Monday. |

When FBI reports last November revealed that Black Friday background checks showed it to be the fourth-highest day for gun sales since records have been kept, some anti-Second Amendment advocates were flabbergasted and angry. They don’t want people to protect themselves until help arrives. They don’t like that people are noticing that the far Left’s soft-on-crime policies have made us all less safe. And, at least in their public statements, they push the fiction that lawful gun sales are a cause for the rise in criminal violence. |

A federal judge blocked more portions of New Jersey's new gun control law on Monday, just three weeks after she blocked other parts of the law that she determined contain "considerable constitutional problems." The new temporary restraining order from U.S. District Court Judge Renee Marie Bumb, a George W. Bush appointee, lifts the restriction on permitted gun owners from carrying concealed weapons in public parks, on beaches and in casinos. |

The lead round nose bullet is probably what most people think of when they hear the word “bullet.” These bullets are great for multipurpose use – they're usually cheaper than other styles, feed well in a wide variety of weapons, deform on impact, and are very accurate. |
