A man was shot Monday evening in Grovetown by the mother of his child in what police are calling an act of self-defense. Grovetown Police said Devaris Hampton, 36, was trying to gain entry into a home on the 7600 block of Main Street, where his former partner lived. Though the victim is nine months pregnant with Hampton's unborn child and they already are parents to a 2-year-old girl, she had ended their relationship. |
