"NEW ORLEANS, Jan. 8 — Edwin W. Edwards, the silver-haired and honey-tongued former governor of Louisiana who charmed voters into four terms while surviving more than 20 investigations of accusations of wrongdoing, was sentenced today to 10 years in federal prison for extortion." ~~~ This guy is as slippery as Clintoon. Betcha he never serves a DAY. |

Newspaper section with interactive presentations detailing gun legislation and violence in both the U.S. and the world.
Click on the U.S. or world block and a map comes up and you point at any location and it gives you "facts" about that area. I like the disclaimer below the boxes for the maps. |

| A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects. — Robert Heinlein |
