A man suffering from gunshot wounds who was dropped off outside a hospital in Leeds has died of his injuries.
Police say the man, in his 30s, was left outside Leeds General Infirmary at about 0630 BST on Sunday.
He was driven up to the main entrance in a silver Volkswagen Golf containing two other people.
Detectives are now working to discover the victim's identity and the background to the shooting.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "At this stage it is unclear how or where the man came by his injuries."
Officers are anxious to trace the car, which has the registration number W191 RCN. |

A man has been charged with serious assault and gun-related offences after he threatened a number of people at Southbank in Brisbane's inner city.
Police say they received a call from a Southbank security guard last night saying a man had threatened him and members of the public with a pistol.
Police and the dog squad found the 20-year-old alleged offender at a park in Greenslopes in Brisbane's inner south.
He is expected to appear in court this week.

New details are emerging about the daytime gang shootout that injured a Metrobus driver last week.
The Washington Post reported that charging documents allege the bus driver shooting was not accidental.
Three men have been charged in the shooting that also left an alleged gang member dead.
Jose Valasquez, 16, a Cardozo High School freshman, is charged with shooting the bus driver. Court documents allege Velasquez looked at the driver, pointed a pistol and fired.
A 17-year-old, who's charged as a juvenile, faces a weapons offense while 27-year-old Jose Salamanca is charged with killing 20-year-old Milton Sagastizado. Both teenagers have criminal records and were supposed to be working or in school while living in city funded group homes.
Salmanca had worked at a Dupont Circle restaurant and has a criminal record.
