I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Second Amendment support shouldn’t be confined to one side of the aisle. It would be better for everyone if both parties stood up for the right to keep and bear arms. But poll after poll puts the share of self-identified Democrats willing to defend that right at roughly a quarter — and the party machinery around them is working the other direction. TTAG has walked through what it actually looks like to be a liberal gun owner at the ballot box this cycle, and the answer isn’t comfortable.

So, I’m looking at this post on social media asking “Which wheelgun are you carrying today?”
The post includes an image of Model 19 Smith & Wesson—one of the most popular revolvers in law enforcement back in the 80s and even 90s before the “great transition” to semiautomatics—and a Performance Center revolver, both chambered for the .357 Magnum cartridge. And guess what? I’m not packing either, at least for the moment.

The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) has compiled a new fact sheet refuting 85 documented claims from anti-gun groups, advocates and public officials who stated pro-Second Amendment court rulings and reforms would produce more shootings, more deaths and immediate surges in violence.
