Before we get to the nuts and bolts of the rifle featured in this article, indulge me just for a moment as I tell you a little bit about Jägermeister. Yes, the same liqueur that somehow became the preferred quaff for an unfathomably large number of America’s frat boys. It’s unfair, however, to dismiss it without understanding its historical context.

The lead round nose flat point bullet – also known as LRN-FP or the “cowboy bullet” – is one of the oldest bullet types to remain popular today. This particular bullet has been in use since the late 1800s, and was perfect for pistols, but it was shaped in such a way that it also worked for lever-action rifles like the famous Henry repeater rifles.
The early bullet makers had problems getting the basic round noses to feed properly, and the solution was found by cutting the tip off.

A recent Rasmussen survey released just days ago says a slight majority of “likely U.S. voters” (51%) believes the U.S. needs stricter gun control laws, and it further notes, “Democrats are significantly more likely than Republicans or independents to favor more gun control.”
The poll shows that 41 percent of respondents disagree with the call for more restrictions on gun owners. |

Last week’s victory in a federal court in New York which struck down a state law virtually banning licensed concealed carry in all private property as unconstitutional was ignored by the establishment media, perhaps because it did not support “the narrative.”
As TGM reported, U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra, Jr. issued a 43-page decision in which he observed, “The Nation’s historical traditions have not countenanced such a curtailment of the right to keep and bear arms. Indeed, the right to self-defense is equally important—and equally recognized—on then vast swaths of private property open to the public across New York State. |

The soft-shooting yet hard-hitting 77/357 was introduced in 2011 but has typically just been available with plain black syntenic furniture-- when it can be found. That's now changed to include models sporting a new Kryptek Obskura Nox and Desolve Bare Reduced patterns.

The VP series, Heckler & Koch’s polymer, striker-fired line of pistols, is well on its way to cult status like the MP5, G36, and USP. Debuting in 2014, the VP9 was the update of the P30, HK’s polymer, hammer-fired pistol. With the VP line, HK continued to deliver on its reputation for rugged reliability, accuracy, and shoot-ability. Although the VP9 is an aging pistol design in some ways, the grip ergonomics, overall reliability, and groundbreaking trigger keep this gun viable.
