Washington State’s Democrat Attorney General Bob Ferguson has posted a message on “X” (formerly Twitter) declaring he is “Proud to receive the endorsement of Everytown for Gun Safety.”
Ferguson, who has been the state’s attorney general for nearly 12 years, goes on to say, “I’m the only candidate endorsed by organizations for gun safety — that’s because I’ll enforce our laws, including background checks.”

While the nation "down under" enforces some of the strictest firearms restrictions on the planet, elected officials are indifferent to the disturbing axiom that people with bad intentions are able to find various ways to successfully acquire guns through illegal channels. This unsettling reality leaves law-abiding citizens in a nightmarish bind as the act of practicing reasonable self-defense is procedurally impossible.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s gun ban and buyback policy is running out of steam. And it hasn’t even left the station. The buyback is broken. Law-abiding firearms owners don’t want to lose their guns. It doesn’t go far enough for gun-control advocates. And taxpayers don’t want to pick up the massive bill.

The semi-auto version of Beretta's PMX submachine gun hit the American market in 2023, and it is one of the best direct-blowback pistol caliber carbines I’ve ever shot. (Technically, this is a pistol with a brace, but I’m using the terms interchangeably.)
Beretta developed the PMX to replace the venerable M12 submachine gun for the Italian police, and the PMXs has everything I have come to expect from Beretta: great design, reliability, and manufacturing. |

Palmetto State Armory on Tuesday signaled the end, at least for now, of its love-hate relationship with rebooting the iconic StG 44. The South Carolina-based gunmaker announced at SHOT '23 that its clone would be the first in what they dubbed the "Battlefield" series of historic guns. PSA had enlisted Mac Steil, the "M" of the defunct Hill & Mac Gunworks, a small gunmaker that had been working on an updated semi-auto Sturmgewehr clone for the better part of a decade but never made it to market.

The Second Amendment took blow to its fundamental construct as the nation's highest court on Tuesday tossed out a decision allowing 18-year-olds to openly carry guns during emergencies in Pennsylvania. The decision lets stand a ban on people aged 18 to 20 carrying guns in public during a declared state of emergency. As well as the majority of justices siding with the decision and ignoring the fact that the impacted age group is eligible for military service, the ruling sets a damaging precedent to future cases addressing the issue of minimum age of legal firearms possession.
