"If we demand too much from government, it's partly because the need for the state to defend us increases in proportion to our inability to defend ourselves. That's why law-abiding inner city residents, many of whom have been disarmed by gun control, beg for police protection despite the terrible violations of civil liberties that such protection entails -- like curfews, anti-loitering laws, and civil asset forfeiture." by Robert A. Levy

"There are two ways in which our government may be asking that of us. The first is political correctness. While it is very true that we cannot and should not declare war against all Muslims worldwide, and while we cannot and should not persecute, insult or harass Arabs and Muslims within our borders, we must take steps to reduce our vulnerability to those who mean us terrible harm." --Mona Charen

"We are the kids from Mrs. Akers 4th grade class at Eads Elementary school. Our topic is gun safety. We think that the government should be a lot stricter when people want to buy guns. People should not have guns if they have young children, teens, or people who have a drinking problem, or a drinking record...."
