“He came at me with an ax over his head,” Webster told reporters. “He would have chopped my head off if I wouldn't have been armed with a 12-gauge shotgun.”
“I thank God and my shotgun that I’m alive,” he said
So....Is ABC reporting that a gun can actually, dare I say, SAVE lives?!?!
Oh, and no one was injured. He only fired warning shots. So I guess that shoots HCI's theory that "guns are only go for killing" right in the ass.....again. |

"Beginning on Sunday, the dealers and manufacturers of every new handgun sold in Maryland will have to give state police a spent shell casing carrying the weapon's ballistic fingerprint."
This is despite NO PROOF that any such thing will actually reduce crime or solve crimes. In fact, the casing won't even be able to be used as evidence in court due to how many times the gun changes hands.
This is effectively stifling handgun sales in Maryland for a while...

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
"Some people think that the Second Amendment is an outdated relic of an earlier time. Doubtless some also think that constitutional protections of other rights are outdated relics of earlier times. We The People own those rights regardless, unless and until We The People repeal them. For those who believe it to be outdated, the Second Amendment provides a good test of whether their allegiance is really to the Constitution of the United States, or only to their preferences in public policies and audiences. The Constitution is law, not vague aspirations, and we are obligated to protect, defend, and apply it. If the Second Amendment were truly an outdated relic, the Constitution provides a method for repeal. The Constitution does not furnish the federal courts with an eraser." --9th Circuit Court Judge Andrew Kleinfeld, dissenting opinion in which the court refused to rehear the case while citing deeply flawed anti-Second Amendment nonsense (Nordyke v. King; opinion filed April 5, 2004) |
