"This is a notification that Rick Stanley was arrested today, at gunpoint, by at least 30 Denver police, SWAT, and FBI agents. This occurred at approximately 12 pm Saturday 10/18/03. He is currently being held at Denver County Jail without bond and will probably be transferred to Thornton or Adams County Jail within the next 24 hours."

"This is not a militia alert, because it does not meet the criteria for a militia action. Any supporters that feel they can help in Rick's case in some way should proceed on an individual basis, guided by their own conscience. I will continue to provide updates as new information becomes available."

Pro-gun Jews need to be heard!

"Why in God’s name do Jews support gun control? Do they fail to understand the nature of Hitler’s 1938 Nazi Gun Control Act, imported from Germany by Democrat Senator Thomas Dodd to become the 1968 US Gun Control Act? Are they unfamiliar with the fact that barricaded Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto, armed with only ten handguns, held off the entire SS? It took the regular German Army to overcome them! Shades of Waco, no? Why do such Jews put their lives and the lives of their loved ones so precariously in the hands of the state?"

The First Law of Nature Demands a Second Amendment

"The attacks on our World Trade Center have brought unimaginable grief to thousands of American families. They have also ignited a keen awareness of our vulnerability. And, the dereliction of federal government has become evident by its inability or refusal to provide adequate nationwide defenses from foreign aggression. Whether the appropriate charge is criminal negligence or high treason, there is no question that the people have been betrayed. However, individual security is not the constitutional responsibility of government. More than one judicial decision will confirm such a statement. In other words, it is you, the individual that is obliged to make provisions for your own safety by adhering to the First Law of Nature. You must respond to this fundamental law, or perish. I recognize that this is harsh news for the politically correct sensibilities of most Americans, but this revelation is a simple fact of life. Self-defense is the natural and honorable stance that we must all promote. Without decisive steps to defend self and family, 'security' is only a word."

"I'm not a big believer in conspiracy theories, but facts are facts, and the fact is the National Rifle Association is out to get me. This is not a matter of speculation. There are no anonymous sources involved. This is solid information based on documentation contained on the gun lobby's Web site. The NRA wants to ruin my reputation, ruin my career, ruin my life."

"But while many of the celebs are proud of their anti-gun stance, insurance company Geico was so upset by its inclusion that it wrote to NRA chief executive Wayne LaPierre, begging to be taken off the list."

" 'The NRA has long prided itself on 'setting the record straight' when it comes to addressing issues of critical importance to the NRA. Well, here's a chance to set the record straight as to Geico Corporation's alleged position on gun issues,' the letter states."

"For the record, Geico Corporation takes no position whatsoever on gun ownership. It makes no difference to Geico Corporation whether or not a policyholder owns a gun or guns. We just want to be the best auto insurer of the best policyholders in the USA."

"If people boycotted everyone on the list, they wouldn't read any respectable newspapers or see any good movies, and they'd miss most television programming."

Do tell us, Mr. Price, where the NRA encourages the boycotting of anyone on this "enemies list." Here is their list. I see nothing encouraging gun owners to boycott these companies and individuals in any way. Is this yet more anti-gun paranoia?

"Shame on Bob Herbert, The New York Times, and any other publication that printed this reproachful nonsense. Herbert could have said in one sentence what his 16 paragraphs of unprecedented ignorance attempted to articulate by saying: 'I hate guns.' "

"I can't help but question the motive and integrity of Mr. Herbert and his counterparts within the anti-Constitution lobby. If Mr. Hebert truly believes that banning guns will somehow stop the 'over 1 million deaths' caused by guns between 1968-2001 (a number he failed to provide a source for); one should expect similar passion for laws that would prohibit illicit drugs, thus ensuring a quick and painless end to addiction and drug-related violence."

"Our 'black leadership' argues that we, a spiritual and moral people, cannot responsibly possess weapons. But, for the reasons cited previously, disarming America is not in our best interests. Total defenselessness invites continued government excesses and criminal victimization. Government does not exist to guarantee total security of every person. Until help arrives, only the individual can act in his own best interest. At the same time, only an unjust government need fear the people and their arms."

"Two years ago this month, on Oct. 25, 2001, the U.S. Senate voted 98-1 in favor of the USA Patriot Act, an assault on constitutional protections and American values so atrocious that legislators in three states and local officials in 189 cities, towns and counties have passed resolutions or ordinances condemning and rejecting its abuse of civil liberties."

"...The danger to our beloved country is real and immediate. All you need to do is read the history (don’t read a schoolbook - buy a real book) of the past 150 years to see that there is something very sinister at work here. Laws have become ever more oppressive. Officer Friendly on the street corner has been replaced by Officer Decidedly Unfriendly in ski mask, flak jacket and riot helmet. Protesters may now be labeled 'domestic terrorists' and jailed indefinitely without charge, without trial, and without access to family or lawyers. We are in deep trouble, as a nation and as a people, and the danger isn’t in the least supernatural."

"It was disturbing to read that Salt Lake City Police Chief Rick Dinse has joined the board of the Gun Violence Prevention Center of Utah. GVPC's claim that they are not anti-gun is disingenuous. Their positions on numerous issues infringe on the rights of law-abiding gun owners and do nothing to decrease gun violence."

"GVPC supports restricting the rights of right-to-carry permit holders, even though studies show that allowing citizens to carry concealed weapons actually deters violent crime. Furthermore, GVPC advocates banning semi-automatic firearms, even though three congressionally mandated Urban Institute studies have proved that banning these firearms has no effect on public safety." ...

It turned out to be a toy, but it caused a lock down at the school. Police surrounded the building while teachers, students and parents there for conferences were all stuck inside."

They have slaughtered dozens of his ducks and chickens, feasted on fingerling salmon in his creek and had the temerity to bite his dog in the throat. Police say a 6-year-old boy took a pistol and ammunition to his Northside elementary school last week.

The boy told investigators he took the gun he found in the hood of his uncle's jacket because he was afraid his uncle might hurt someone with it. A fellow student at Garden City Elementary School told a teacher's aide about the gun, and the boy was detained.

Police want to find out more before deciding whether to charge the 6-year-old with carrying a concealed weapon.

Garden City principal Elizabeth Wierda told Channel 4 that a note about what happened was sent home to parents, and teachers in every third through fifth grade classroom discussed the incident with their students.

People who want locks may take them without showing identification or other documentation, or filling out any form."

"Conflicting reports have emerged following the escape of five prisoners from the Kroonstad prison on Sunday."

"Initially a police spokesperson said the five had been sprung by a group of men in a car who had managed to gain access to the facility and then held up guards."

"But a report issued later in the day by department of correctional services spokesperson Russel Mamabolo said the awaiting trial prisoners had managed their own daring escape by holding a guard at gunpoint."

"He said a prison official had taken one of the men to use the phone. As they were returning another prisoner handed the prisoner who had used the phone a gun."

But South Africans are forced to trust the same police to protect them against these thugs, since they're unilaterally disarmed by their government.

"The Australian has discovered that even the Rugby World Cup security team, one of the biggest current police operations in Australia, was not told about the dangerous weapons."

"The team's officers learned about the existence of the grenades from other sources just days ago."

"The Australian understands World Cup security police approached NSW Police Commissioner Ken Moroney for confirmation of the existence of the weapons."

"After inquiring about the act of confession, the suspect demanded money, a police source said."

More violence in a city where the law-abiding are disarmed against the criminal element.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
No kingdom can be secured otherwise than by arming the people. The possession of arms is the distinction between a freeman and a slave. He, who has nothing, and who himself belongs to another, must be defended by him, whose property he is, and needs no arms. But he, who thinks he is his own master, and has what he can call his own, ought to have arms to defend himself, and what he possesses; else he lives precariously, and at discretion. — James Burgh, Political Disquisitions: Or, an Enquiry into Public Errors, Defects, and Abuses [London, 1774-1775].
