"My Safer Streets Newsletter features my piece on the one, easy way to unwind what the left has done. My guest writers there today are David Codrea, Gerard Valentino, and our friends at the Tenth Amendment Center."
"Americans are beginning to notice ... a hatred of this country from too many of our public servants. Our response must be understood as a righteous indignation and not as hatred of government. People reading our objections are puzzled as to why we would hate government. The truth is that we do not: we are simply objecting as they do to being subjected to the indignities of abuses of due process and assumptions of powers not granted. Do read the Tenth Amendment Center's article I selected on that." ... |

"The Godfather. The Sopranos. Pop culture's presentation of Italian family businesses here in the US – particularly ones that somehow involve firearms - isn't always flattering or glamorous. But is this presentation realistic? Or could the reality of a multi-generational Italian family business actually be better than the movies? Better yet, is there one that could even be called a true American success story? To answer those questions, the folks at LuckyGunner.com recently caught up with Carlo Fiocchi, a 4th generation Italian ammunition manufacturer. What we learned surprised us…and if you’ve watched either The Godfather or The Sopranos like we have, then his answers about Fiocchi Ammo will really surprise you too." ... |

Manufacturers strive to incorporate newer and better technology--lighter materials, more capacity, better sights and more gadgets. But despite advances in technology, the basic requirements for a concealed carry pistol haven't changed and there are many older 'classic' handguns that will serve you as well as the most modern wonderguns."

"Jeff Woods at the Nashville Scene's 'Pith in the Wind' blog reports on a troubling exchange between GOP gubernatorial candidate Bill Haslam and a gun rights advocate at a meeting of the Tennessee Firearms Association. At least, it's troubling to me. The bottom line: Haslam promised that if a bill came before him that allowed people to carry guns anywhere they want in Tennessee without a permit, he'd sign it.
