"It is likely that the U.S. Supreme Court could be divided in its interpretation of the Second Amendment. On the one hand, Justice John Paul Stevens, the leader of the four-member liberal block on the court, believes there is no individual right to bear arms, while Justice Clarence Thomas, one of the court's three staunch conservatives, supports an individual's right to bear arms."

"Earlier prescient advice from the anti-American crowd has included: ... turning the U.S. armed forces into a feminist consciousness-raising session; demanding continued dependence on Arab oil in order to preserve mud flats in Alaska; indignantly opposing a missile defense shield; promoting endless due process rights for aliens who are illegal, diseased or criminal; disarming the public; and purging the nation of insidious references to God." by Ann Coulter

Although he managed to drive off with their Rover leaving two of them on the kerb, the third woman left in the back seat continued to tackle him on her own.

"Transferring security enforcement from private industry to the government may be an emotionally satisfying response in these charged times—but it ignores the fact that airlines are still a service industry, and that privatization has proven to significantly outperform government bureaucracies both in the delivery of services and controlling costs. ... Meanwhile, Democrats have failed to explain how a federal agency using civil servants would do a better job." By Mark Fitzgibbons

Nice display of anti-gun bias by this reporter who states that the anti-gun view is a literal translation of the 2nd Amendment and the pro-gun view is an interpretation.

"Domestic violence restraining order can prevent arms sale -- Citizens have a broad right to bear arms, but the right may be restricted if a person is under a domestic violence court order, a federal appeals court has ruled."

The NRA has now seen fit to help in an effort to destroy a different American right, the right to own private property. The NRA has targeted its support behind the Conservation and Reinvestment Act (HR701). CARA is not about conservation and restoration. It is about confiscation of private property and relocation of citizens.

Three Board Members of the NRA have openly opposed the board's position: Barbara Cubin, Larry Craig, and Ted Nugent.
