Mila Kunis is Team ‘Push Them Back’ when it comes to kids who push around her kid

There are often two schools of thought in cases of physical harm between kids: tell the teacher or hit them back. As someone who was bullied as a kid, in my experience if you tell the teacher, the bullying gets worse. When you return the act of aggression back upon the initial aggressor, it usually stops (kids are often better at understanding limitations than adults are).

Mila is #TeamPushBack.

"Well, here's a story that's about to get me in trouble," she begins. "There was a little kid in my kid's preschool that wasn't very kind and pushed my daughter."

The Biden administration last month filed a brief encouraging the Supreme Court to uphold New York City’s de facto ban preventing ordinary citizens from carrying firearms in public.

The administration argued that an onerous “good cause” requirement—giving the city’s police department unmitigated discretion over citizens’ exercise of a fundamental right—is a perfectly reasonable regulation.

This court brief is just one of several high-profile actions taken this year by the Biden administration that underscore its lack of commitment to taking the Second Amendment seriously.

“We’ve filed this action because the situation in Pennsylvania smacks of discrimination against young adults in the 18-20-year age group,” SAF founder and executive vice president Alan M. Gottlieb said in a statement. “Young adults can join the military, where they might be assigned to carry firearms all over the world. They can get married, start businesses, enter into contracts and yet they are not considered mature enough to exercise their Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. That’s nonsense.”

I will admit to being an inveterate barfly. Give me an establishment filled with interesting folks and a good craft beer selection and I’ll happily while away the hours swapping stories and enjoying life. I suspect many of you have some version of this—be it a nightclub or a honky-tonk, we all need a place to escape from time to time.

And while these might be great avenues for takin’ a break from all your worries, they can, sadly, be a prime place for crime to happen. It’s no secret that there’s a strong correlation between crime and drugs/alcohol. While that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying a night out on the town, there are some easy steps you can take to prevent something bad from happening.

A jury acquitted an Augusta man of murder charges Wednesday in a 2020 fatal shooting at the victim's home.

All the eyewitnesses and Jaron Moore said he shot 39-year-old Reginald Frank on Oct. 10, 2020. The question for the Richmond County Superior Court jury this week was whether the shooting was in self defense or an unjustified killing and therefore murder.

The jury deliberated about an hour and a half before returning its verdict of not guilty.

A Roanoke man accused of murder was freed Wednesday after a jury found him not guilty on all charges.

Demarcus Shaiquan Glenn, who was 20 at the time of his arrest, acknowledged that he shot 16-year-old Tyler Polumbo on a spring night in 2019 but said he acted in self-defense after Polumbo pulled a gun and attempted to rob him of drugs.

“I was scared. I didn’t want to get shot,” Glenn, now 22, testified during a two-day trial where he was facing a string of charges that included first-degree murder.

A federal judge Wednesday denied a request by local gun owners to block San Diego’s recently signed ordinance banning so-called “ghost guns” in the city.

The lawsuit filed last month in San Diego federal court, hours after Mayor Todd Gloria signed the ordinance, sought to block enforcement of the ban prohibiting the possession, purchase, sale, receipt and transportation of non-serialized, unfinished frames and receivers, and non-serialized firearms, all of which are commonly known as ghost guns.

While the president of the National Police Association is talking to Fox News about “costly litigation” over law enforcement suspensions or firings over COVID-19 vaccination resistance, and police agencies around the country braced for manpower shortages, caught in the middle of this clash are the citizens living in those jurisdictions, worrying about safe neighborhoods.

One message that probably caused angst for the public while city officials winced came from Mike Solan, president of the Seattle Police Officers’ Guild, as he chatted with KIRO News: “Be prepared to defend yourself and your family because it’s going to be a long time before a cop can get there. That’s not alarmist talk. That’s a reality.”

Her 2015 Christmas Card shows her family holding their guns. She has also produced her own Walk the Talk Second Amendment Calendar. Each month featured her “posing in salacious costumes with a variety of firearms in glamorous, high-contrast shots, in what amounts to a sort of soft-core gun porn,” Politico reported.

She also sponsored Assembly Bill 148, a bill to allow concealed firearms on college, grade school, and day-care campuses.

“If these young, hot little girls on campus have a firearm, I wonder how many men will want to assault them,” she said in a 2015 interview with The New York Times. “The sexual assaults that are occurring would go down once these sexual predators get a bullet in their head.”

Second Amendment supporters could do themselves a big favor by studying the way Mitch McConnell has managed to render Chuck Schumer’s hopes deader than a doornail. In the fight for our rights, it never hurts to study the good tacticians.

When discussing McConnell’s re-election bid last year, we noted his long track record in support of our Second Amendment rights, and his fight against various campaign finance “reform” schemes meant to muzzle Second Amendment supporters. But what also warrants attention is the tactics McConnell has used.

To fully appreciate how exceptional this increase is, it must be remembered that permit processing in many jurisdictions slowed considerably or stopped altogether for part of 2020 because of government office closures, staff shortages, and backlogs due to pandemic lockdowns (here, here, here and here, for example). Further, 21 states have now passed some form of permitless carry law, which dispenses with the need for a license or permit for lawful carrying, provided the individual meets the state’s eligibility requirements.

Eddy County District Judge Lisa Riley said she was awarded $50,000 in a defamation lawsuit against Carlsbad Municipal Schools, former-Carlsbad High School Principal Adam Amador and the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), as allegations the judge made racist comments were retracted by LULAC.

The suit stemmed from an incident in 2018 when Riley’s son Will Riley, then a student at Carlsbad High School, organized a pro-Second Amendment rally on school grounds, which he said school officials attempted to block.

On Monday, the Pitt County Board of Commissioners voted 5-3 to pass an amendment to the county’s Law Enforcement Ordinance No. 4, to ban concealed handgun permit holders from possessing handguns in the county-owned or controlled buildings. This is despite a Board member saying they surveyed county employees and found that the overwhelming majority were in favor of allowing concealed handguns on county property.
