"Unless you are an active member of the military or an important government official, the single most important thing you can do for your country this year is vote."
"There is an active movement afoot to strip you of your rights. All of them. And if the anti-gunners get just a smidgen more power than those who support the Second Amendment, they will take everything they can get in the next two years and beyond. ..."
"You and I were fortunate enough to grow up in the real America. We know what the Second Amendment is really about. We know that the real U.S. is about standing tall, working hard, and being the best we can be. But we've been infiltrated from within by an enemy that wants to break our back and turn everything that we stand for on its head." ... |

"The increased call for stricter gun control measures was inevitable after one of the deadliest school shooting sprees swept across the country earlier this month. Gun control, or civilian disarmament, advocates are gearing up to bring stricter disarmament measures to the attention of local, state and federal government."
"The solution to the increased school violence is not to disarm the American public, thereby stripping millions of their Second Amendment protection to the God-given right of self-defense, but to address the reasons why, as a society, we are seeing more and more deadly outbursts. The guns are not committing the crime – people are!" ... |

"The conventional wisdom on the 'Amish shootings' by Charles Carl Roberts Roberts and other recent school violence maintains that the 'real' problem is just too many guns. Many believe that this horrible crime could have been prevented by stricter gun-control laws. One hundred big-city mayors, including New York's Michael Bloomberg and Boston's Thomas Menino, have formed a coalition to get illegal guns off the streets of their cities where violent crime is on the rise. The mayors want to increase gun control and impose stiffer penalties on illegal weapons traffickers."
"Students of gun-control's effect on violent crime differ with the mayors' premise, however. ..." ... |

"The infamous Columbine shootings in 1999 were carried out by two evil young men. ... The nation responded by crying out for more gun control, which has done nothing to stop such violence."
"This month, in the wake of heinous crimes including sexual assault and murder of our children by criminals with guns, the nation has reacted differently. While the rabid anti-self defense nuts regurgitate their same old ilk, most have realized their 'solutions' can do nothing to defend innocent life from evil men. As a country, we don't want slick press releases, we want real solutions. We demand real answers to combat real dangers. We are finally insisting that sensible action be taken to insure our children are safe at school." ... |

"Regular readers of this website have seen a lot of material regarding a private business's choice to prohibit licensed patrons from carrying a handgun for self-defense. ... They imply that you’re not trusted to be safe and responsible with your concealed handgun even though millions of law-abiding licensees live, work, and shop in forty-eight states without incident."
"This last implication is perhaps the most insulting. The corporate policy of Costco, a large volume and wholesale retailer, is the latest to be brought to the attention of Ohioans For Concealed Carry. We have received several emails from people all over the country explaining their personal attempts to persuade Costco Corporate Management to adopt a more logical and tolerant policy. ..." ... |

Congressman Don Sherwood has done more for the 10th Congressional District in Pennsylvania than anyone who has represented us. He has supported farming and manufacturing, and he has been strong on national defense.
Don Sherwood is pro-life, and he is not afraid to say so. His opponent, Chris Carney, needs to check the polls to see where he stands.
Sherwood supports our constitutional right to own firearms. His opponent, on the other hand, says he supports the Second Amendment, but he has been supported by the anti-gun movement.

"Two of the nation's leading gun rights organizations have endorsed 8th District Rep. John Hostettler, R-Ind., for re-election."
"Hostettler, who is being challenged by Democrat Brad Ellsworth, received the National Rifle Association and the Gun Owners of America endorsements at a 4:30 p.m. news conference attended by about 50 supporters outside Rajo's Guns on West Franklin Street."
"'There is no single-most important (Bill of Rights) preserving tool in our Constitution than for the rights of American citizens to keep and bear arms,' Hostettler said. 'The Second Amendment gives teeth to the Bill of Rights, and it creates the backdrop by which we can maintain all other civil liberties.'" ... |
