... "Guess what, anti-gun and asleep-at-the-switch Garden Staters: You're on your own. You always have been. That this realization hasn't been forced on you--yet--has been more a matter of odds than anything."

"So what is New Jersey's largely pro-citizen disarmament political class doing to face a reality they can no longer keep buried?" ...

"The Washington Post weeps "ATF's oversight limited in face of gun lobby." In a story by Sari Horwitz and James V. Grimaldi and starring all the usual federal guncop suspects familiar to Sipsey Street readers including "Waco Jim" Cavanaugh, the Post anguishes over their "lack of resources" and other terrible ordeals forced upon these tax-paid bureaucrats."

"I could critique this, but I'm sure other bloggers such as David Codrea will do a better job at that. Here, however, is my reply email to the authors of this tearjerker." ...

"So, let me see if I have this straight. According to the Tacoma News Tribune, an admittedly illegal immigrant named Maria Gianni has been doorbelling homes in the Seattle area, working hard to get out the vote for Sen. Patty Murray."

"Meanwhile, a U.S. Navy veteran who served honorably during the Vietnam War, is now suing Attorney General Eric Holder and the FBI because his firearm civil rights are being denied over a misdemeanor conviction he racked up 42 years ago in a fight with an Annapolis, MD gang member who had earlier attacked the sailor for 'entering his territory.'"

The REAL reason CSGV hates the right to keep and bear arms--it works

"The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence (CSGV) is a frequent topic here, being, perhaps, the most rabidly anti-gun group in the country--or at least the most open about their rabidity. No other forcible citizen disarmament advocacy group, to my knowledge, openly calls for a government monopoly on force, but that's one of CSGV's central tenets. ..."

"There is one aspect of CSGV's philosophy, though, that I now realize I had completely misunderstood. The strongest reason for their aversion to gun rights isn't 'gun violence,' ... it's that they believe that a strong-willed, vigilant citizenry, prepared to say 'No!' to government excess, and equipped to back that denial up, is right now impeding the 'progressive' agenda." ...

"One type of equipment I have put back is the Vietnam-era US Army-issue watch. As a matter of fact I have a half dozen new ones that I picked up at a gun show for $5.00 each back in the 90s. They are shock-resistant, waterproof, stem wound. Not the most accurate timepieces, but they are impervious to EMP and do not require batteries."

"On operations, synchronizing your watch with others is important because every watch is different. So if you find one for sale at a reasonable price, snap it up. If the price is really right, get one for your buddy." ...

"There was a double murder on Friday at Park-Ohio in Cleveland. The business has 'no guns' signs posted, but as we have seen demonstrated many times, killers do not obey the signs. The victims always obey them, and are dead. Maybe that was part of the killer's plans."

"The accused killer was a former employee. He knew company policy and protocol. He likely knew of the 'no guns' signs and that neither his victims, nor any of their co-workers would be able to stop him."

I have said it once and I will say it again: What makes us the greatest nation in the world is our resolve to hold our personal freedoms up as a measure for other countries to aspire to and, in many instances, yearn for. I love our Bill of Rights and I am partial to the first two, especially. There, the newly toothless patient must exit through a special door, so they don't walk back through the waiting room and possibly frighten or offend those in line for their own extractions. We considered the dark humor of wandering back to the waiting room under the guise of retrieving a jacket while babbling things like, 'Eighteenth century dentist! What happened to novocaine? While that may be true, the 'good' officers tend to cover up for them. And in some departments, the good cops are afraid to come forward, because they know they will be treated the way Max Seifert was."

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
Thanks to the government’s past record, it is unfortunately very predictable that, in spite of the severe penalties mandated, tens of thousands of people will not comply at all (with Bill C-68). A new class of criminal will be created among harmless citizens whose previous lawbreaking may have resulted in nothing more than parking tickets. — Lee Morrison, Canadian Mounted Police
