"Agents noticed a man watching the president's daughter and, at some point, feeling the man had shown an unusual amount of interest in her, agents confronted and frisked him, discovering he was carrying a gun, the newspaper reported." ...

"Having first refused to respect man’s natural right to self-defense, England has now begun actually punishing those who protect themselves. This is madness. Remember these British laws the next time a gun control advocate tells us there is no danger in licensing and registering firearms and their owners. Gun control leads to registration, which leads to confiscation. England is a classic example of this. And as Tony Martin’s case illustrates, outlawing guns quickly leads to criminalizing self-defense." |

Group worries liberal teachers would ‘excise Second Amendment’ from class

FULL TEXT BELOW:
Editor, Times-Dispatch: I am going to say this again. I should not have to do this two times. There is anarchy on our highways. I am being tailgated by truckers and bullies in cars. Everybody is violating the speed limit. I-95 has become a very dangerous place to drive. Powerful cars are being driven by bullies. These cars are potential bombs with gasoline in them.
I have traveled I-95 a lot and I have never yet seen a trucker stopped for speeding or tailgating. Something is deadly wrong here. In fact, I rarely see anyone stopped. The state should take down the speed limits because nobody is obeying them anyway. Why is the paper not investigating this serious stituation? I know some people are starting to carry guns and I do not blame them. I am thinking of buying one myself. These tailgaters and speeders are potential murderers. Again, why is your paper ignoring this deadly situation? I personally hold you responsible for this situation for not investigating this.
Many, many people are being threatened by these outlaws. It is a travesty and morally bankrupt for your paper to ignore this. I am an ex-teacher and know what anarchy is. We who drive I-95 may have to take the law into our hands. I am starting to be ashamed of our country for allowing this to happen. Again, I am buying a gun tomorrow.

"Gun control legislation routinely ignores Second Amendment rights. Our Founding Fathers trusted the people to act responsibly with their weaponry. The very life of the nation depended on a well-armed militia that was drawn from the civilian populace. That was the implied compact in the Second Amendment. Americans then and now understood that guns were not toys or killing machines just waiting to jump off a table and start firing on their own volition. Gun ownership carries with it a duty to act responsibly. Students at UW-Stevens Point want the legislature to exempt college campuses from the concealed weapons law if it were to go into effect. They believe that concealed weapons could make it quite dangerous for the university's unarmed campus law enforcement.
The UWSP student government recently passed a resolution that pushes to include a clause that exempts all college properties from allowing anyone to carry a gun. Meanwhile, local activists believe that the ban should be lifted.
“Most of the people in America feel that they are responsible for their own safety,” says National Rifle Association activist Buster Bachhuber.

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
...If a man lies under oath or procures the lie of another under oath, if he perjures himself or suborns perjury, he is guilty under the statute law. Under the higher law, under the great law of morality and righteousness, he is precisely as guilty if, instead of lying in a court, he lies in a newspaper or on the stump; and in all probability, the evil effects of his conduct are infinitely more widespread and more pernicious. — Teddy Roosevelt - May 12, 1900 |
