"Curiously, one politician who agrees with Jeb and Grover and Michael and Rand is presumptive Democrat presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton, someone who is trying to establish a political dynasty of her own. Evidently coached with the same talking points, she declares herself to be a 'huge supporter of immigration reform and a path to citizenship.'”

I'm continually amazed at the AR15 platform and the many things it can do. Launching a Coke can down range isn't what I would have guessed, but with this upper you can do just that...

The Second Amendment Foundation today offered testimony before the First Committee of the United Nations General Assembly on behalf of the right of individual self-defense, especially for women in developing countries.

Speaking for SAF was Operations Director Julianne Versnel, who told the panel, “The United Nations recognizes the right of governments to defend themselves, and to possess the means of doing so. Yet this body perpetuates the situation that keeps the number of women victims growing by denying them, and in fact all human beings, the means to–and decrying even their right to—defend themselves.

For all the obvious reasons, this is extremely ugly. One hopes that Tillis will demand an apology. But it’s also flatly dishonest. Stand You Ground had absolutely nothing to do with Trayvon Martin’s death. And nor, for that matter, did George Zimmerman even hint at invoking the defense. As ABC’s Dan Abrams noted during the Michael Dunn trial:

Recent national news coverage of three dramatic uses of personal firearms to vanquish robbers and murderers has increased awareness of the ability, the necessity, and perhaps the inevitability of a citizenry that defends itself during the minutes it takes for law enforcement to arrive.

Simultaneously, two federal appellate courts prepare to answer whether federal officials may limit law-abiding citizens’ self-defense rights across the third of the nation and in the thousands of facilities owned by the federal government.

The fact that they’ve chosen to trust you with this critically important task should come as a tremendous compliment—as well as a serious responsibility. The first trip to the range can make or break a person’s future interest in the shooting sports, so it’s up to you to ensure that the experience is a positive one.

Dem Rep: Fort Hood Proved Good Guys With Guns Don't Stop Bad Guys with Guns

During an October 27 Congressional debate Representative Tim Bishop (D-NY-01) said his Republican challenger Lee Zeldin's position that more good guys with guns will stop bad guys with guns was proven wrong at Fort Hood, where Bishop says "there were an awful lot of really, really good guys with guns" yet attacks still occurred.

In saying this, Bishop either ignores or shows he does not know that those "really, really good guys" at Fort Hood were not allowed to carry their guns for self-defense. Apart from the MPs scattered about, the victims of Nidal Hasan (2009) and Ivan Lopez (2014) were sitting ducks who actually demonstrated the heinous acts that occur when only the bad guys have guns.

One of the anti-gun billionaires behind background check legislation in Washington state found himself in hot water after a particularly offensive Facebook post Friday.

Only hours after the reported fatal shooting at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, billionaire Democrat Nick Hanauer posted a link to a story about the deaths on his Facebook page along with the statement, “We need more school shootings!!! Vote yes on Initiative 591.”

Initiative 591 would prohibit background checks prior to gun purchases in the state. Hanauer and several other Democrat billionaires support a competing proposal, Initiative 594, that would require background checks for virtually all gun transfers...

In the weeks since we last reported on media attempts to tie NRA to the Ebola crisis because of our opposition to the nomination of Dr. Vivek Murthy as surgeon general, the anti-gun echo chamber has continued to promote this absurd line of argument.

Absent most of the coverage is a forthright discussion of NRA’s legitimate concerns with the nominee, or any evidence that Murthy himself has a singular ability to effectively handle the nation’s Ebola response.

Yesterday’s Publicola revelation that anti-gun billionaire Michael Bloomberg has personally contributed another $285,000 to pass Initiative 594 in Washington state suggests that the former New York mayor will stop at nothing to push his brand of restrictive gun control into law across the country, worried activists suggest.

Adding up the contributions to I-594 – the 18-page gun control measure that appears likely to pass next Tuesday – from Everytown for Gun Safety and Mayors Against Illegal Guns, both Bloomberg-funded gun prohibition lobbying groups, this brings the total of his largesse to more than $2.6 million. That’s roughly one-fourth of the entire $10.1 million raised to pass I-594, and Bloomberg doesn't even live in Washington.

The slogan "guns save lives" has been used online by numerous gun rights activists to make the point that many believe arming citizens is a way to stop violence.

Here are 12 stories that people have tweeted or talked about online that, for gun rights activists, support the idea that guns save lives:

Aaron Zelman was a titan within the gun-rights community.

The group he founded in 1989 — Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership — mimicked his bold, uncompromising personality and his truth-telling style.

Zelman and the JPFO called out anti-gun politicians, many of whom represented districts in the Northeast. He had a loud, powerful voice lawmakers learned to respect if not fear.

With so many “work place incidents” and “lone wolf” terrorist attacks, Judge Andrew Napolitano has a very simple solution, and one to drive liberals nuts.

“What is the best deterrent to that? An armed citizenry,” the judge said. “People able to protect themselves. We have a Second Amendment in this country, they do not have the equivalent of that in Canada.”

The difficult problem with these “lone wolf” attacks are just that. They are from individual attackers motivated by Islamic forces.

I will be voting for Cory Gardner in a hope to secure a Republican majority in the next U.S. Senate. With a Republican majority Obama will be required to do something he has not done for six years. That is to work with the Senate on Second Amendment and other critical issues facing our nation. It will be necessary for him to send more-moderate nominations if he expects to get them confirmed. Our country and Constitution can only benefit from a Senate Republican majority.

Few of the anti-gun movement’s positions are as self-defeating and mean-spirited as the impulse to “out” others for the choices they make about their Second Amendment rights.

Most of them try to justify prying into this private activity under the mismatched rubric of the “public’s right to know,” as if private individuals become public figures merely for the exercise of a fundamental right. In recent years, newspapers have published databases of Right-to-Carry and pistol permit holders, feigning interest in “public safety.”

Several years back, Initiative 676, a handgun ban disguised as a “child safety measure,” suffered a massive defeat after the media’s “polls” showed that the majority of Washington State’s voters would approve the measure.

Now, we’re seeing the same bogus polls telling us that Washingtonians overwhelmingly approve of Initiative 594, a gun confiscation measure disguised as a “universal background checks” law. When is the anti-Constitutional gun abolition lobby going to stop telling lies?

The District attorney general’s office is not going quietly with the July ruling that deemed D.C.’s total ban on guns in public unconstitutional because of the Second Amendment. For the first time since the ruling, Attorney General Irv Nathan has said that his office will appeal the decision.

Although Judge Frederick Scullin Jr. made his decision in July, he granted D.C. a 90-day stay to allow them time to prepare safety measures, which the Council used to create a restrictive handgun permit system. Unfortunately, those have proven too restrictive for the gun lovers that brought the original lawsuit against D.C. and they have challenged the new laws.
