The expected collapse in gun sales after gun control advocate Hillary Rodham Clinton lost to President Trump has not happened, due largely to growing concerns of crime and terrorism like last week's Tennessee church and Sunday's Las Vegas shootings. Industry experts, surprised that 2017 has become the second highest year for sales, said that concern for personal safety has shifted the market away from hunters. |

This morning, I, like every other American, awoke to the news of terror in Las Vegas. Those healing and the families of the victims should be our first and foremost concern, and I know they will be in many American’s prayers. However, I also awoke to the all-too-familiar cacophony of contradiction from the left, which is once again heralding the cause of gun-restriction. The narrative is not a new one, and it is recycled by talking heads every time an attack like this occurs. |

A White House spokeswoman said Monday that President Trump remained a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and that tough gun laws had not stopped the thousands of shootings in Chicago. “The president is clear that he’s been a strong supporter of the Second Amendment,” press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said from the White House when discussing the mass shooting in Las Vegas, the worst in US history. |

The shooting at a country music festival in Las Vegas on Sunday night that killed at least 58 people was such a life-shattering event that at least one performer said it changed his view on gun rights and the Second Amendment. In a tweet Monday afternoon, Caleb Keeter, a guitarist for the Josh Abbott Band, said some of the band’s crew members had firearms on the tour bus with them but realized those weapons were “useless” given the circumstances of the shooting.

In July of this year, the DC Circuit Court of Appeals struck down Washington DC's “may-issue” concealed carry laws. Since then, Second Amendment supporters across the country – particularly those in may-issue states like NJ, NY, CA, etc – were waiting to see if the liberal-dominated DC Court of Appeals would rehear the case before the full court and reinstate DC's draconian gun control laws. Fortunately, by a unanimous vote, the court denied a petition for a hearing – essentially striking down DC's gun control laws. |

As the aftermath of the Las Vegas mass shooting carried out by millionaire real estate investor Stephen Paddock once again brings on an impassioned debate about gun control, Keith Olbermann took to “The Resistance” to explain with resignation why this keeps happening. “We have the Second Amendment, which was designed to keep the federal government from taking away the right of each state to maintain it’s own militia,” Olbermann said, “but which has now been transformed into an excuse for why madmen of whatever heritage or political purpose cannot be stopped from carrying at least 10 long rifles into a hotel room in Las Vegas and setting up a sniper’s nest and killing people.” |

The horrific mass shooting of scores of people in Las Vegas on Sunday has once again re-ignited the gun control debate in the U.S. News reports indicate that the shooter, who opened fired on a crowd of concertgoers on Sunday night, killed at least 50 people and wounded more than 200. Audio recordings of the shooting, which captured rapid fire bursts, suggest that the shooter used a fully automatic weapon. The speculation that the shooter may have used fully automatic weapons set off frenzied demands that the government do something to ban these weapons and charges that the so-called gun lobby was responsible for making machine guns legal and easy to buy.

Voting to make it easier to buy noise suppressors for firearms seemed like a win for Republicans. But when the National Rifle Association wasn’t present at a congressional hearing on the issue — which has been at the top of its legislative agenda for years — it signaled the GOP might be growing aware of the new optics surrounding the gun debate. |

After Sunday night’s horrific mass shooting at a Las Vegas concert, the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history, some in the liberal media couldn’t help but try to politicize the awful tragedy that left 50 people dead and hundreds more injured. During MSNBC’s live coverage in the 9 am PST hour October 2nd, anchor Stephanie Ruhle and former NYC Police Commissioner William Bratton blamed Nevada’s “relaxed” gun laws to argue that if the state had more regulation, something like this couldn’t have happened. |
