Recently, anti-Second Amendment extremists have taken to using the phrase “gun reform” when it comes to their agenda. But the term, as was the case when they tried to hijack the term “gun safety,” is clearly misapplied by them. What they are proposing is not reform. |

Part of Democrat presidential hopeful Joe Biden’s overarching gun control plan is to pay AR-15 owners to surrender their rifles or allow them to keep the guns, as long as they register them with the government.
Biden’s plan would apply not only to AR-15s but also to AK-47s, variants of both rifles, and other firearms that Democrats label as “assault weapons.” The call to surrender or register would also apply to “high capacity” magazines. |

When I say on my show that bad policies of Seattle have a tendency to spread, I mean it. Look at the latest example out of Tacoma, poised to pass a gun and ammo tax — or, as I call it, a self-defense tax. If you own a gun to protect yourself, under the new legislation backed by Tacoma Councilmember Ryan Mello, you’ll get hit with $0.02 cents per round for .22 caliber or less and $0.05 cents per round of other ammunition. On top of that, gun shops are hit with a $25 fee per firearm sold.

Sabot slugs – pronounced “SAY-BO” – are the improved and technologically superior brother of rifled slugs, because they simply offer more accuracy and longer range from a shotgun, typically with a rifled barrel. This type of slug is encased (or otherwise attached) to a wad or bore-sleeve – which basically grips the rifling in the barrel and gives the projectile inside the spin needed to fly smoothly. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them. — Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States; With a Preliminary Review of the Constitutional History of the Colonies and States before the Adoption of the Constitution [Boston, 1833]. |
