In New Jersey, the public hearing on the proposed 2020-2021 Game Code Amendments will be held virtually. This is the hearing where changes to the rules are discussed. This is not a lawmaking session. Be quite assured that the changes being brought up are not based on law, voted on by the legislators, but however through Executive “suggestions” (read that how you will) from Murphy to the Department of Environmental Protection. More executive overreach. It is important to note that a “no bear hunt” bill has continually failed to meet acceptance over the years.

Second Amendment supporters have the right to feel frustrated about the situation in Alabama. By all rights, it is a state where a strong Second Amendment supporter should be cruising to an easy re-election. But instead, Doug Jones is trying to get a full six-year term.

So, instead of an easy re-election allowing us Second Amendment supporters to focus our efforts on enabling Second Amendment supporters to win tough races in Colorado, New Mexico, Minnesota, Arizona, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Michigan, and two races in Georgia (one regularly-scheduled, one special), now we also have to use resources to dump Doug. The reasons why Doug must go are obvious.

The volunteers who showed up this summer to help a church charity move to a new spot in rural Campbell County were from the same type of group that swooped in when a nearby Lynchburg restaurant was targeted by protesters: the local militia.

Earlier this year, Campbell’s board of supervisors officially recognized the self-proclaimed militia as an organization to “enhance the safety and security” of citizens and as a “barrier against a tyrannical government.” Bedford County followed suit. A similar resolution is being debated in Halifax County.

The shelves are nearly bare at Gary's Gun Shop in Sioux Falls.

And as you scour the store for a case of bullets to buy, you'll likely hear someone comment how hard it is to find ammunition right now.

You'll be hard-pressed to find ammo in Sioux Falls at all.

Several stores in the city have reported increased sales in ammunition and firearms in 2020, depleting an already short supply during the coronavirus pandemic.

The owner of the largest gun store in Santa Fe, N.M., had more customers clamoring for firearms than ever before — but he was running out of guns and bullets to sell to them.

"You're telling me you're not receiving ammunition — not a single round?" he badgered a supplier on the phone who had just informed him that everything was out of stock. "Now I don't want to be grumpy, but I also want my business to continue."

In his afternoon ruling that rejected Kyle Rittenhouse’s bid to remain in Illinois, Judge Paul Novak noted that defense attorneys had characterized the Wisconsin charges as politically motivated.

“This Illinois court shall not examine any potential political impact a Wisconsin District Attorney potentially considered in his charging decision,” Novak’s six-page ruling said. He added that it is not for an Illinois judge to “reevaluate probable cause determined by a Wisconsin court.”

Bautista asserted prosecutors are trying to argue that their witnesses are more truthful than Paule, which a jury already decided on in March when he was acquitted of murder.

“This is bad form on the Utah County Attorney’s Office and inappropriate,” Bautista said in a statement. “Are they now going to charge a rape complainant when the result is an acquittal for being untruthful? Or every time they lose a trial? Dangerous precedent coming from an office in which the county attorney wants to be our next attorney general.”

Freedom and our Constitution are on the 2020 ballot because you can't have one without the other. We are the freest people on the planet, and for the longest time, because of the U.S. Constitution. No governing document has harnessed those who govern us more fully or better than this document.

A Fourth Circuit panel seemed open to the idea of rolling back the federal 21-year age limit to purchase a handgun during a hearing Friday afternoon.

The dispute involves two Virginians, Tanner Hirschfeld and Natalia Marshall, both under the age of 21, who sought to purchase handguns from a federally licensed firearms dealer. They were rejected under the Gun Control Act of 1968 and filed a federal lawsuit against the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, but U.S. District Judge Glen Conrad dismissed their case last year.

The lawsuit claims that ‘Walker’s conduct in shooting Mattingly is outrageous, intolerable, and offends all accepted standards of decency and morality.’

However, as you can imagine, Walker’s attorney has already clapped back by citing the ‘Stand Your Ground’ law and the ‘Castle Doctrine’ as proof that Walker acted according to the law, in self defense.

Attorney Steve Romines started by slamming the lawsuit as a ‘baseless attempt to further victimize and harass Kenny.’

For students from Alaska to Puerto Rico, the instructor in the classroom and on the range is the face of the NRA. These men and women who make the investment in time and resources to become NRA-certified instructors not only carry on our finest traditions, they maintain the world’s highest standards in firearms safety.

A new poll from USA Today and Suffolk University shows a majority of Americans are worried about the possibility of violence on election day and afterward.

San Antonio gun store owners are seeing a record number of gun sales and long lines to purchase one.

"We're double and triple what we were a year ago, and a year ago was off the charts, to begin with, as well," said Adelbridge and Co. Firearms owner Jonathan Hirsch.

In his book, “The Deacons for Defense: Armed Self-Defense and the Civil Rights Movement,” historian Lance Hill wrote, “Much of the history of the civil rights era rests on the myth of non-violence: the notion that the civil rights movement achieved its goals through non-violent direct action. [On the contrary], black violence and civil disorder played an indispensable role in forcing the federal government to enforce the newly enacted civil rights laws.”

This is a man who — just last week — claimed that a solution to suspects being killed by police was to train cops to shoot attackers in the legs. That advice, for those unaware, is the exact opposite of every firearms training system in the country. Police are never taught to aim for someone’s legs. That would simply increase the chance of missing, and a hit in the legs very well could prove fatal anyway. A firearm is never used to exert less than lethal force — ever.

Groups such as Michigan Open Carry have sued, claiming the prohibition is illegal on state law grounds—their suit did not include a claim that the ban violates the Second Amendment. This suit was successful: A state court judge recently struck down the ban solely on state-law procedure grounds—a holding that the state appeals court later upheld.
