"The report estimated that 815,000 people killed themselves in 2000 - making suicide the No. 13 cause of death worldwide."
"The highest suicide rates were in eastern Europe, while the lowest were in Latin America."
"Among the Inuit people in northern Canada, for example, there were overall suicide rates of between 60 and 75 per 100,000 people, compared with 15 per 100,000 for the general population, it said." ------- No correlation between guns and suicide here, but worth tucking away for when the anti-gunners try to blame suicides on firearms. |

"I have begun to wonder if Blagojevich is having an identity crisis. He comes to Southern Illinois and touts his support for gun owners, but fails to mention his support for partial-birth abortion and homosexual marriages. Two days later, I read his remarks to a crowd in Chicago touting his blatant opposition to gun ownership and praising his blemish-free, pro-abortion record."

"This week I’ll be taking aim at a website. Yes, I realize that generally websites come and go, and many gun control 'organizations' are usually ephemeral flights of fancy for those with too much time on their hands and little factual information. But the reason I’d like to draw your attention to this particular website is that 'Gunguys.com' is not only a prime example of gun-control maliciousness, ignorance and disingenuousness, but also a great tool to help those who aren’t familiar with the Second Amendment rights debate to see an example of the kind of poisonous, repugnant cowards these 'it’s for the children' types really are." |

"Two terrified women felt they had run out of options. The women huddled in a closet clutching a handgun while intruders roamed through their Detroit flat. But it wasn't until one of the suspected thieves opened the closet door that the women fired."
"One suspect is hospitalized. He is in serious condition. He is under arrest. Police are searching for at least one more suspect and probably more. They say what happened inside the flat on Sorento looks like a clear case of self-defense."
QUESTION:
Would the Brady/VPC gun prohibitionists prefer that these women had been raped and murdered outside their closet door? |
