The sky marshals pulled a male passenger off the plane because his name on the flight manifest might have matched a name on the FBI list of suspected terrorist accomplices and/or leads.
After interviewing the subject at OIA, the marshals determined that he was not the suspect, and allowed him back on the plane to continue to Washington.
However, two flight crewmembers on board refused to fly with him, even after he was cleared.

"Don't allow yourself to be sucked into the war hysteria. The only war occurring now is a war on your freedom. The State will forge that hysteria into a mighty sword and plunge it into your vitals.
Arm yourself while you still can. ... If you live in a Sovietized state, demand the right to be armed by organizing marches, massive petition drives, calls to local talk radio, etc. Be loud and be angry.
Or simply move, before you're forbidden to." --Jeff Elkins |

Dallas/FortWorth AIRPORT -- As National Guard troops took their posts at airports nationwide, passengers said they welcomed the added security.
The troops wore soft-brimmed caps instead of helmets and were instructed to be extremely cautious with their rifles, to avoid startling the public. Most of the soldiers armed with rifles carried them slung over their shoulders, with the muzzles pointed down. They were also instructed to help passengers with bags and directions. |

"They're not really worried about bumping into an actual terrorist," Mayfield said. "It's simply fear of how our government is going to handle it. They are people who already wanted it and they just moved it up ahead of other purchases to get it now before they have to jump through more hoops." |

This week, the Senate passed S.1438, the Department of Defense (DoD) annual authorization bill, which contains a provision that is of grave concern to shooters. Section 1062 provides the Secretary of Defense with the authority to require "demilitarization" of any "significant military equipment" that has ever been owned by the DoD. This would include all firearms, firearm parts, ammunition and components; and firearm accessories... |

"The Posse Comitatus Act is in trouble. It is the only thing that stands in the way of stripping us of our freedom right now, and there are some in the defense department who are calling for a review of it. The push to build an international alliance against terrorism could be hampered by a bill to be reintroduced in the Senate that would attempt to block efforts to create an International Criminal Court (ICC). Although it's highly unlikely the ICC treaty will be ratified by Congress or even put up for a vote, in the next several years, as a signatory, the United States would be bound by the treaty once it comes into effect. |

Wednesday's Greyhound bus hijacking that left six people dead illustrates the need for every state to pass "Vermont-style" concealed gun laws, so Americans can defend themselves against terrorists or deranged murderers.
"Let's put the Second Amendment to work to protect Americans. The best defense against hijackers or run-of-the-mill copycat madmen is to give every American the legal right to own a gun and carry it everywhere." |

While the world is focused on the war on terrorism, rumors persist that sinister forces inside the beltway are looking for ways to attach a train-load of pork to an emergency appropriations bill.
CARA, the Conservation and Reinvestment Act (H.R.701) was horrible legislation before Sept. 11. So bad, in fact, that it has been dubbed the "Confiscation and Relocation Act." |

"According to a new watchdog group, Gun Industry Watch, the NRA has produced a segment for their Oct.2 "NRA Live" web broadcast titled "Canada Targets Gun Control... Ignoring Real Threat of Terrorism," that includes an array of accusations that the Canadian government's enforcement of gun licensing and registration allowed terrorist cells to proliferate and "contributed" to the September 11th attacks on the U.S." |
