This article is intended to help you decide if Federal Punch 22 WMR is the right self-defense ammo for you, or if you should use something else.

CCI Blazer 22 LR is a good choice for plinking at the range. Every round fired when I pulled the trigger and I had minimal malfunctions, which isn’t typical of cheap 22 LR ammo.

Seattle’s KIRO Eyewitness News appears determined to show the failure of Washington state’s restrictive gun control laws, either unintentionally or by design, but over the past few days, the local CBS News affiliate has reported three different cases which undermine arguments by anti-rights Democrats that tough gun laws will keep guns out of the wrong hands.

Earlier this year, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Jeanine Pirro, announced a critical change to policies affecting gun rights in Washington D.C.

Acknowledging the District’s restrictive firearm statutes infringed the Second Amendment rights of residents, Pirro announced – after consultation with the U.S. Department of Justice and the Solicitor General’s Office – federal prosecutors had been instructed not to seek felony charges for those carrying registered shotguns or rifles. Pirro made clear that D.C.’s blanket prohibition on this activity is in violation of U.S. Supreme Court rulings in District of Columbia v. Heller and N.Y. State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen.

Late last month, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) published an article titled, “Six Words Every Killer Should Know: ‘I Feared for My Life, Officer.” Using a mis-mash of half-baked statistics, legal misinformation, and cherry-picked anecdotes, it tried to make a case that there is just too much darned self-defense going on in America.

Since the Trayvon Martin case—my home blog Martin case archive is here--the racial grievance industry has endlessly claimed “stand your ground”—SYG—laws allow white racists to murder innocent blacks at will. Never mind that SYG was not implicated in that case and that neither the prosecution nor the defense raised it. An unmistakable case of self-defense, the local prosecutor refused to prosecute. So racially charged was the political atmosphere, then Florida AG Pam Bondi appointed a corrupt special prosecutor who lost the case.

Minnesota’s political leadership is aggressively mounting a gun control blitz that dances around the Constitution and sidesteps the state’s own lawmaking process. From city-level ordinance proposals to a statewide town hall show, Democrats in the Land of 10,000 Lakes are relying on scripted and astroturf political theater, despite voters’ rejection of their goals.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
There are more instances of the abridgement of the freedom of the people by the gradual and silent encroachment of those in power, than by violent and sudden usurpation. — James Madison
