For a new shooter, the number of bullet types and terminology can be overwhelming and difficult to understand – and the full metal case is arguably the most confusing of them all. Typically, this bullet type is found labeled in the bulk ammo section of foreign manufacturer sites, and it's basically the same thing as the full metal jacket, or FMJ. Many gun authorities note that Remington was the first to use the description "full metal case."

More than a hundred firearms are now out of circulation after a gun buyback event in Rockland County, officials announced. Held on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Leo Lydon Community Center in Suffern, the event resulted in the collection of 118 firearms, including 71 handguns, 25 rifles and shotguns, 21 assault weapons, and one non-functioning firearm, District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II said.

While Glock is leaving its legacy designs in the rearview, Ruger has resolved to expand the RXM pistol family. At its Nov. 6 investors' webcast detailing third quarter operating results, Ruger leadership announced sales of new products, including the RXM pistol, recently-introduced Marlin lever-action rifles, and the American Centerfire Rifle Generation II, represented $40.6 million or 33.7 percent of firearm sales for the company in the past three months.
