No gun law is ever going to prevent a terrorist, or for that matter a domestic murderer, from getting a gun. The only thing such laws will ever do is take away the rights of honest citizens. Our courts and politicians are beginning to understand that. |

"In Tuesday's column, I offered a common-sense suggestion to help ensure our children's safety. Since Sept. 11, we're using armed guards to protect our bridges, airports and congressmen. So it stands to reason - in my mind at least - we should do no less for our children when they're in school..." --Dimitri Vassilaros

An excellent opinion piece from, believe it or not, MSNBC. This nice gentlemen rips the USA Patriot Act to shreeds. A good piece for those who must see their evidence coming from the "Main Stream".

"China once haughtily regarded crimes involving guns as a manifestation of American decadence that hardly affected its own, better regulated, society. In urban China at least, this may have been true a decade or more ago. But now even official publications admit that the numbers of gun-related crimes are soaring—though they are still far less common than in the United States—and that a huge black market has developed for everything from shotguns to fully automatic assault rifles." |

"The Constitution does not grant anyone freedom of speech, freedom of the press, the right to assemble, or the right to bear arms. In fact, one searches in vain for any language in our Constitution that grants any rights to the people whatsoever.
"...the Constitution is actually a limited grant of enumerated powers to government officials and a series of restrictions that prohibit government officials from interfering with the exercise of rights that preexist government." --Jacob Hornberger |

"H.R.3162, 'The Patriot Bill,' or the antiterrorism bill, might make you a terrorist. Any persons among us who have accepted that certain civil liberties must be abridged in time of war, or forever, for the sake of security, are going to learn Ben Franklin’s lesson the hard way: Those who would give up freedom for security deserve, and will get, neither." --Brad Edmonds |
