The 300 AAC Blackout and 308 Winchester are both 30-caliber rifle cartridges that shoot a .308” diameter bullet. However, this is where the similarities end as both cartridges have a different intended purpose.

What’s New—The Schumer Shutdown is over. Included in the bill President Trump passed was législation that maintained a provision that prohibits the Department of Veterans Affairs from stripping the constitutional right of veterans to possess a firearm without due process simply because they have been appointed a fiduciary to manage their benefits.

Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) announced that it and its co-plaintiffs have filed a motion for summary judgment in Brown v. ATF, a landmark federal case challenging provisions of the National Firearms Act of 1934 (NFA) and asking the court to strike down and enjoin the government’s continued enforcement of the Act’s unconstitutional requirements.

Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX) introduced the Second Amendment Restoration Act on November 12, 2025, launching a direct assault on the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act signed by President Joe Biden in June 2022. The legislation represents a direct challenge to the first major federal gun control law enacted in nearly three decades, which passed following the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.
