Revolvers are superb defensive sidearms, but they do have their limitations, which typically boils down to a matter of size—of the gun and the person carrying it—and over the decades I have personally seen some remarkably effective carry options, and a few that were alarmingly stupid.

Marshall County has declared itself a “Second Amendment sanctuary,” but the language is a bit more limited than its neighbor’s. In a resolution adopted by the county commissioners and accepted by the sheriff Monday, Marshall County promises not to pass any laws regulating or taxing firearms or ammunition. It goes on to say, “the people’s fundamental right to keep and bear arms shall always be respected to the fullest extent of the law.”

After extensive range testing, preparing for a black bear hunt, deer pursuit, and venturing afield with the Trijicon Credo HX, we can recommend this riflescope to any hunter wanting an upgrade in glass.

Federal agents in Tulsa charged a Mexican national illegally residing in the U.S. and his Houston-based son with trafficking more than 75 firearms and bulk ammunition purchased at local gun shows, following a multi-agency investigation by ICE, ATF, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
----------------------
Their "crime?" Buying TOO MANY things at a gun show, which is now "trafficking." Ammo in "bulk" (gasp). The son is a CITIZEN and should not have been arrested or charged. Even his "illegal" father still has 1st/4th/5th amendment rights and should have 2nd amendment rights (federal courts are SLOW WALKING a case on that very issue). |

When it comes to the scholarly debate about the iconic rifle cartridges of the Cold War, the 7.62x51mm NATO (308 Winchester) and the 7.62x39 Soviet are always omnipresent in the discussion. One became a staple NATO round and the most prevalent big game hunting cartridge in North America, while the other became a symbol of pure, unadulterated ruggedness and dependability.

The Walther PDP Match Steel Frame was designed specifically to compete against 2011 pistols. After taking it to the range, I can attest that the heft, recoil characteristics, and trigger would make the PDP Match SF a real competitor in divisions like USPSA Limited Optics. It is fast, reliable, accurate, and soft shooting – everything one wants in a competition pistol.
