There is a new AR trigger about to hit the market by storm. The Trigger is called the TacCon 3MR Trigger System and it is being produced by a new company called Tactical Fire Control, Inc. This trigger system is unique because it has a safe, semi, and 3rd trigger option. This 3rd option gives the trigger a positive reset characteristic that allows the trigger to be pressed at an incredibly rapid rate of fire. |

Why does a police department which hasn’t had an officer killed in the line of duty in over 125 years in a town of less than 20,000 people need tactical military vests like those used by soldiers in Afghanistan? For that matter, why does a police department in a city of 35,000 people need a military-grade helicopter? And what possible use could police at Ohio State University have for acquiring a heavily-armored vehicle intended to withstand IED blasts? Why are police departments across the country acquiring heavy-duty military equipment and weaponry? |

If Americans were writing the Constitution over again in 2013, would it make sense to include the right to bear arms? Or has it become outdated?
Some argue that states should have the ability to decide the laws they want around guns, instead of having a national standard. And they point to the Second Amendment's language about the need for well-regulated militias as evidence of its anachronism.
Ed.: Full audio of the debate. Alan M. Dershowitz and Sanford Levinson argue in favor. David B. Kopel and Eugene Volokh argue against. |

Hoch said that even if the court assumed that Andrade possessed the firearms strictly for purposes of self-defense, his “status as a convicted felon” disqualified him from asserting protections under the Second Amendment.
...
“...And while defendant undoubtedly intended to use the firearms to defend himself and his wife from intruders, the need for such defense was created in no small part by the fact defendant bought and sold stolen property out of his house. Thus, even if defendant’s status as a convicted felon did not, by itself, remove him from the category of law-abiding responsible citizens protected by the Second Amendment, his ongoing criminal behavior certainly does.” |

Washington's high court upheld a state law Thursday that prohibits some suspects in serious criminal cases from possessing a firearm before they have been found guilty of a crime.
The state Supreme Court said in a 5-4 ruling that the law did not violate the Second Amendment rights of a man who was eventually convicted of unlawful possession of a firearm.

Recall Hudak organizers are trying to gather at least 25,000 signatures by early December. They already have faced death threats and harassment. Liberal supporters of Hudak have littered the district with scare-mongering door hangers depicting gun-rights activists as dangerous criminals and sex offenders. The group distributing those fliers, “Democracy Defense Fund,” is also behind deceptive “community alert” robocalls spreading the same slanderous message. The smear campaign is funded by a D.C. outfit, the Environmental Majority PAC, which already has dumped $50,000 into pro-Hudak committees. |

The book is now closed on a 3 year battle of the Capital Area District Library versus Michigan open carry organization.
"When I heard about the decision this morning, I was disappointed," said Maureen Hirten.
The library lost their fight to appeal the decision which allows weapons in its branches.
"We are going to abide by the ruling and continue to provide service to our patrons," said Hirten.
It started in 2010 when a few Michigan open carry members went to the library with their weapons. Despite the library's policy that bans all firearms inside any of their 13 branches. |

The NRA has begun its fight against cities that recently passed local gun laws. San Francisco is the first battleground.
The new gun law bans magazines holding more than 10 bullets. High capacity magazines have been used in mass shootings, like the one at Los Angeles International Airport three weeks ago. That gunman was equipped with five 30-round clips. |

Mexican authorities warned Thursday that they would not allow vigilante “self-defense” groups to take over more towns in a western state where civilians are arming themselves to combat drug gangs.
Vigilantes are now providing security in six Michoacan state towns after self-defense forces seized the municipality of Tancitaro last weekend following clashes that left three people dead.
Self-defense leaders say they next plan to take over another town, Los Reyes, with about 40,000 residents, as part of their drive to chase the Knights Templar drug cartel out of the region. |

In a session interrupted by protesters, the Ohio House of Representatives voted Wednesday to add Ohio to a list of 22 other states with a variation of a “stand your ground” gun law on their books.
Opponents labeled it the “kill-at-will bill” and the “George Zimmerman bill” after the Florida man whose shooting of a 17-year-old boy ignited a national debate on such laws.
Supporters countered that the bill would affirm “our natural right to self-defense” and would keep Ohio’s stricter self-defense standards compared to some other “stand your ground” states. |

Case in point? A man in Lansing, Michigan, who was accosted by a teenager attempting to taze him as he waited to pick up his daughter at a bus stop.
Tazing is a new addition to the knockout game, and even more dangerous than using fists. It didn't matter much to "player" Marvell Weaver, however.
Legally carrying a concealed handgun for self-defense, his would-be victim saw the attempted "hit" coming just in time and calmly shot the goon twice.
Weaver was then jailed, tried and convicted after pleading guilty. Let this be a lesson to all those hoping to knock out a stranger (for reasons unknown). |

The 2014 session of the Missouri legislature is already starting off with a step backward.
Instead of starting over with a good Second Amendment Preservation Act, the Missouri Republican legislators are starting off the upcoming session where they left off at the override session with an unconstitutional bill that they have made worse.
In the September veto override session, HB 436, the Second Amendment Preservation Act, passed the House along a party-line vote with barely enough votes to override the veto. It then failed, by one vote, in an override vote in the Senate. |
