With a little thought and a bit of experimentation, you can find clothes that keep your gun hidden and you looking fashionable.
Different people have different clothing needs and tastes, just like they have different needs and tastes in firearms. Even though clothing options vary depending on geography, popular fashions and the weather, there are a few solid guidelines when it comes to choosing clothes to cover your pistol. |

Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and nearly every other website modify user agreements often, usually expanding the list of “prohibited” activities/items. Self-defense and the Second Amendment are some of today’s fashionable and popular targets, and both are much easier to hit with headline-grabbing accuracy than Russian, North Korean or Chinese trolls.
Lack of alternatives is a convenient excuse, but that’s quickly changing. Alternatives are gaining traction on several fronts. |

Back in 2014, President Obama banned the importation of many complete Russian goods to the United States in response to Russia’s invasion of Crimea. Saiga shotguns and rifles were on that list. Three years later in 2017, Molot VEPR shotguns and rifles were added to the list.
If you time travel way, way back to RECOIL issue #12, we had an article specifically about VEPR shotguns. We followed that piece with an update about accuracy with slugs. If you’re interested in one of these, file both under Required Reading.
FIME Group has obtained a limited number of VEPR shotguns that were imported prior to the ban, and have now announced them for sale. |

To make that possible, Axon has partnered with Noonlight, a company that makes an app that automatically connects people with emergency services. To connect users with police, the Taser is always paired with Noonlight's app, officials from both companies told The Post. When the trigger on the TASER Pulse+ is pulled, a beacon on the device communicates with the app, which alerts authorities that a likely emergency is unfolding. Using information from the app, including GPS, responding authorities have access to the user's identification and location, even when someone is fleeing the scene of the incident. |

Many handgun hunters first took notice of Taurus in the late 1990s, when the Brazilian manufacturer introduced its massive Raging Bull revolver chambered for the beast-stomping .454 Casull. Later, hunters who wanted to carry a handgun on the trail but not necessarily hunt with it recognized the Taurus Tracker. Chambered for perennial favorites such as .357 Mag. and .45 Colt, the Tracker offered peace of mind that rode well on the hip. And when the Taurus Judge launched in 2006, packing five .410-bore shotshells, just about everyone agreed it was the thing to carry for keeping venomous snakes out of the blind. |

Gun violence is a national crisis. This year alone, over 50,000 gun violence incidents have resulted in 12,904 deaths, a number that is likely to be higher after this issue goes to print. These statistics do not include the roughly 22,000 annual suicides by a firearm.
As a former prosecutor, I fought to bring criminals to justice, support victims of violence and reduce gun violence. Now, as the U.S. Representative of California’s 20th congressional district, I promote and advance common sense solutions to help prevent gun violence across the country. |

Deborah Greenhouse wants you to know what her lane is.
The Columbia pediatrician is one of several doctors joining a social media storm over guns and doctors, sparking a fight between the physicians and the National Rifle Association.
"Asked a 6 year old today what he would do if he found a gun while playing at a friend's house," Greenhouse tweeted Nov. 9. "He said he'd grab it and play with it. His mom was shocked. I wasn't. It was the most important thing I talked about at his well (care) visit." |

Gun control does not work. Recently in California, a state with some of the most restrictive and onerous firearms laws, there was a mass shooting at a bar, a place where firearms are prohibited. California’s highly restrictive firearms laws did not prevent this. Criminals still kill, and they are only stopped by a “good guy” with a gun, be it a police officer or a law-abiding citizen. |

"If you want to reduce suicide deaths, you have to talk about firearms," Betz says. "And if you want to reduce firearm deaths, you have to talk about suicide. They are so linked in this country. And when we talk with patients, it should not be about Second Amendment rights. It should not be about politics. That has no place in the exam room. This should really be about home safety."
Guns are by far the most lethal means of suicide, and physicians need to know that, Betz says.
"Eighty-five to 90 percent of people who attempt with a gun will die, because that's what guns are supposed to do, is be lethal," Betz says. "So if I had to pick one thing to get out of the house or to lock up, it would be the firearms." |

Prohibition on homemade, 3D-printed and other ‘ghost guns’ is latest step in governor’s campaign to strengthen already tough gun-control posture.
Moving closer to his goal of giving New Jersey the toughest gun-control laws in the nation, Gov. Phil Murphy on Thursday signed a prohibition on “ghost guns” — firearms that are homemade, 3D printed or otherwise undetectable by security scanners.
The new law is the latest by the Murphy administration, working with the Democratic-controlled Legislature, enhancing firearms regulations in New Jersey. And it is not likely to be the last, as he and lawmakers unveiled a new bill package just last week. |

A new bill allowing Georgians to carry guns without permits has been filed for the upcoming session of the legislature.
HB2 would enact “Constitutional Carry,” a concept supported by Governor-elect Brian Kemp.
In Georgia, you can carry a concealed handgun, but it requires a background check and a carry permit. Brian Kemp is among the Georgians with a carry permit.
"I hunt, I shoot and I carry," Kemp said repeatedly on the stump during his campaign. |

A resurrected contentious red flag gun bill that failed last legislative session is among a number of bills Democrats hope to revive now that they hold both a statehouse majority and governor’s office for the first time in four years.
The red flag bill, which withered in a kill committee, would let family members or law enforcement petition a court to temporarily remove an individual’s guns, if they were a danger to themselves or others. Senate Republicans felt it was unconstitutional and violated Second Amendment rights. |
