More than a week after the terrorist attacks in Paris, many Americans are thinking about personal safety. The attacks prompted yet another jump in gun sales nationwide.
Gun shows in southwest Alabama are usually busy, and this weekend at the fairgrounds is no exception. Mark Beasley has been very busy in the days since the Paris terror attacks.

"I cried when I heard it on the radio, it was a relief".
In her most recent generous frenzy of fanaticism, Sarah Palin declared that not only is her pro-Gun stance in line with Biblical Christianity, but it is an exact echo of Jesus' teachings while he walked the earth.

Except for what it doesn’t do, a measure approved by the Ohio House that would end certain state restrictions on carrying concealed handguns is a bad idea. It would permit them in day-care centers, airport terminals, government buildings, and police stations. That’s unnecessary and risky.

I hope Eddie Quinn sticks to his guns and protects his family, his home and his rights. The Obama people and their ilk, however, have a right to advertise and let criminals know their families and homes are unprotected.

| QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
| "Some people think that the Second Amendment is an outdated relic of an earlier time. Doubtless some also think that constitutional protections of other rights are outdated relics of earlier times. We The People own those rights regardless, unless and until We The People repeal them. For those who believe it to be outdated, the Second Amendment provides a good test of whether their allegiance is really to the Constitution of the United States, or only to their preferences in public policies and audiences. The Constitution is law, not vague aspirations, and we are obligated to protect, defend, and apply it. If the Second Amendment were truly an outdated relic, the Constitution provides a method for repeal. The Constitution does not furnish the federal courts with an eraser." --9th Circuit Court Judge Andrew Kleinfeld, dissenting opinion in which the court refused to rehear the case while citing deeply flawed anti-Second Amendment nonsense (Nordyke v. King; opinion filed April 5, 2004) |
