Let’s begin by parsing the grammatically confounding title of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ aggressive legislative idea. He calls it the “Combating Violence, Disorder and Looting and Law Enforcement Protection Act.” That’s not what it would do. In reality, it would amplify the danger it professes to prevent. Nor would it combat violence. Instead, it would expand the state’s stand your ground law. Neither would it stem disorder. Rather, it would limit the ability of citizens to demonstrate in the streets. |

Having a safe home is key to peace and wellbeing. Protecting it can be done in many ways. While some of us live in urban areas, others live far from neighbors. We've put together a list of a few items you may choose to defend your castle. One of the most effective home defense weapons is the good ol' 12-gauge shotgun. You get a lot of bang for the buck, and ammo is still fairly easy to find. Plus, you can use it to do some bird or squirrel hunting for some extra meat, or just control the varmint population around the property. We have lots of new and used shotguns at great prices for someone looking to spend a little but get a lot.

Digging into a new Gallup survey on firearms ownership and gun laws strongly reinforces the long-held notion that Democrats are “the party of gun control” and that people who do not own guns are much more interested in restrictions than gun owners and those who identify as Republicans.
While the report from Gallup was headlined “Support for Stricter U.S. Gun Laws at Lowest Level Since 2016,” the survey results revealed far more about the split between Democrats and Republicans on the subject of guns.

Shooting is a discipline that, to do well, takes self-control and training. First comes the important safety training, but then comes learning to hit moving clay targets and attaining the skills to shoot tight groups on paper or to hit steel quickly and accurately. These disciplines shape us and influence our understanding of this very practical American freedom. |

Yesterday, the Delaware Superior Court issued its decision in the NRA-backed DSSA v. Garvin case, striking down the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) regulations that banned hunting deer with semi-automatic rifles. Delaware law, and the DNREC, have traditionally allowed pistol-caliber rifles for deer hunting. In its 2020-2021 hunting regulations guide, DNREC suddenly banned semi-automatic pistol-caliber rifles for deer hunting. The Delaware State Sportsmen’s Association (DSSA) filed this lawsuit, arguing that the agency did not have the authority to make such a change and that it did not follow proper procedures before doing so. |

It should not be a surprise that Jen O’Malley Dillon, Joe Biden’s campaign manager—and, should he be inaugurated in January, his deputy chief of staff—supports every gun-control proposal Biden has for your rights; the thing is, her history of anti-gun stances actually goes far beyond her work for the Biden campaign. Before becoming Biden’s campaign manager last March, O’Malley Dillon was in the same position for Biden’s purported gun-control czar-to-be, Beto O’Rourke. That’s right, she was running the campaign for the guy who said, “Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15,” during a primary presidential debate.

Sports haven’t been the same this year, but Saturday is “opening day” for one that not even COVID-19 can stop, gun season. “Right now is probably the best time to be out in Tennessee, in the woods, hunting deer because the rut, the deer rut is just now ramping up in a lot of areas. So we’re seeing bigger deer on their feet in daylight hours and that’s a great opportunity for somebody to get out there and hunt,” said Barry Cross, the Region 2 Outreach and Communications Coordinator with Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. |

Its beginnings date back to 1899, when John Browning created his first successful commercial automatic pistol, and its legacy continues through today with most American and all European ammunition companies still manufacturing rounds in .32 caliber ammunition. |
