"Perhaps once a year, a movie comes out that keeps me in my seat, waiting to see what happens next."
"Sometimes, a great historical drama appears, like HBO's John Adams miniseries ..."
"Sometimes, it’s an action film, though this genre is becoming trite ..."
"Rarely, it’s a documentary, like the just-released Not Without a Fight by Max Lemus."
"Not Without a Fight is the story of one young man's journey to understand what the Second Amendment means. ..." ...
"The best thing about this film is that it features regular Americans, not the movement's household names and celebrities. Not Without a Fight infuses some fresh perspective: It was more valuable to hear from these Second Amendment activists ..." ... |

"Readers of these pages might get the idea that I am unhappy with the United States. I complain about the gun laws on the books, I warn of the dangers of gun laws (and other laws) being proposed, and I express outrage that people like me, and those with whom I most identify, are increasingly viewed as a potential threat to our way of life."
"Despite all that, I love this great nation, and would not trade it for any other country on Earth. In short, as an American, I have much to be thankful for. In no particular order, and with no attempt at comprehensiveness:" ... |

"We warned America that Obama's 'support' for the Second Amendment was empty rhetoric. Now Holder's disclosure has confirmed it. Obama was lying, and now gun rights may be dying."
"Obama said 'I'm not going to take your guns away' and 'Lawful gun owners have nothing to fear…I think people can take me at my word.'"
"Right now, I wouldn't take Obama's word if he said it rains a lot in Seattle."
"Obama sent Holder to detail his support for a national gun owner registration scheme and authorizing the government to ban firearm possession for any person by merely adding that person’s name to the terror watch list." ... |

"In our How To Escape and Evade in an Urban Environment article, we briefly discussed escaping from zip ties."
"There are quite a few hasty methods of illegal restraint, and zip ties are a method that’s available to any would-be kidnapper." ...
"To defeat zip ties, you can either completely break the zip ties, shim them, use a friction saw or with a little forward thinking just be able to slip right out of them." ... -------

"MORE .30-06 HXP AMMO SOON: The CMP has been successful in acquiring another large quantity of HXP .30-06 ammo. We expect delivery in Jan 2010 and should have the ammo ready for sale by Feb or Mar. Until we actually receive and inspect the ammo, we will not know what packaging configurations will be available, but expect them to be the same as we have had for the past few years. We do not yet know what our final cost will be. We do know that the quantity is large enough to satisfy our customer needs for several years. We will not accept any pre-orders or establish a waiting list. Thanks for your support and patience." ... |

"While you lily-livers are feasting on turkey and whatnot, rightbloggers are defending Thanksgiving, the nation, and their Second Amendment right to kill hippies."
"RedState remembers the first Thanksgiving, in 1941, when 'Americans around the nation settled into a peaceful Thanksgiving weekend and celebrated with their loved ones. A week later, the nation was viciously attacked by Japan... This Thanksgiving holiday is different from that weekend.' Well, thank God. But wait, it's not completely different -- 'this time, the American people are staring at an attack on our nation and can stop it. This attack is coming from within.' This time the bomb being dropped is 'the Obama/Reid/Pelosi healthcare bill,' ..." ... |

"Koster's actions come as the city of Seattle prepares to defend its recently passed ordinance banning firearms in city parks and other public venues; a case that will most likely end up in the State Supreme Court to determine the constitutionality of the state's right to supersede a municipal or county government's right to determine its own public safety laws. ..." ... |

"My--how far our 'pro-gun Democrat' has fallen."
"David has been following Kirsten Gillibrand's new special friendship with Carolyn 'What's a Barrel Shroud' McCarthy. Yesterday, the two announced their collaborative effort--their 'Make Gun Trafficking Even More Illegaler Act of 2009' (or something like that)." ..."'From the person who buys the gun from the dealer, to the person illegally selling the gun out of the trunk of his or her car, to the kingpin who's organizing this criminal network, the legislation makes crystal clear that these people are criminals [who] should be prosecuted,' said Gillibrand.'" "U.S. Congressman Todd Tiahrt, R-Kan., released the following statement in response to heinous accusations from Mayor Bloomberg's political organization Mayors Against Illegal Guns."
"'The mayors who politicized the tragic deaths of those whose lives were taken along with the dozens who sustained injuries at Fort Hood should immediately issue a public apology to the victims and their families,' said Tiahrt. 'Their use of soldiers' deaths, their smear campaign against me, and their attempt to deceitfully change public policy disgraces their reputations as public servants. Using the Fort Hood massacre to advance a devious ad campaign dishonors the freedoms our men and women in uniform have paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect. ...'" ... |
