Appearing in an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Monday evening, 18-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse—perhaps displaying wisdom beyond his years—told Carlson, “It wasn’t Kyle Rittenhouse on trial in Wisconsin, it was the right of self-defense on trial”
Many in the Second Amendment community agree. A recent report at Ammoland News made the same argument. Rittenhouse, found “not guilty” on five charges by a jury of seven women and five men in a Kenosha courtroom, quickly added to Carlson, “If I was convicted, no one would be able, no one would ever be privileged to defend their life against (their) attackers.” |

The Benelli M4 semi-automatic shotgun has served alongside the members of the United States Marine Corps since 1999. It’s thrived through water, humidity, combat in the global war against terrorism and Leatherneck abuse in deployments to some of the planet’s most inhospitable regions. Its ability to survive when lesser shotguns fail lies in the company’s innovative Auto-Regulating Gas-Operated (A.R.G.O.) system, which is self-cleaning. Its gas port is also just forward of the chamber, where the mixture is hotter and cleaner.

Whenever someone in my old Michigan deer camp tagged a whitetail, that evening they would take a shot of kirschwasser, a smooth, clear, fiery brandy distilled from cherries. Even if the hunter was a few years shy of 21, their lips would touch the glass, and they’d feel a hint of the heat on their tongue. Why? Tradition.

Last year I was inspired to ditch my AR-15 for a Marlin 1895. See, I shot a mid-sized doe with an AR-15 firing a supersonic 300blk round designed specifically for that purpose; Problem is, even with a broadside angle on the deer and shot placement behind the shoulders, the doe still managed to run 60 yards before expiring. |

As we learn more about the senseless SUV attack on the crowd attending a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, some liberal media outlets are energetically attempting to spin away from the suspect Darrell Brooks and his left-wing politics on social media. That’s funny. With Kyle Rittenhouse, they quickly dug into his social media activity. |

On Monday morning, before the first customer comes through the door at Wixey Bakery, before the first flight of the day departs from Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airport, and well before the sun peeks over the eastern horizon, there will be thousands of individuals awake, alert, and attentive as they anxiously count down to the official start of Ohio's gun season for deer. |

Threaded-barreled, “tactical” lever guns are experiencing a boom in popularity right now, and Ranger Point Precision (RPP) has a line of screw-on Comet muzzle brakes to accommodate many of the most popular models from Henry, Marlin and Rossi. The Comet muzzle brake is made from 4140 steel an machined to measure 1.65" long (with roughly 1" overhanging the barrel), which will nominally increase a carbine or rifle's weight--the Comet adds just 1.3 ozs. to host gun's overall weight. |

Full disclosure, while I may have learned to shoot on an old Gen 2 Glock 17, my first quality handgun was a mil-spec M1911 chambered in .45 ACP. So, don’t mistake my opinions for those of someone totally enamored with plastic fantastic tactical Tupperware. That said, the title is a valid question. Are single-stack handguns obsolete in the era of ever-shrinking compact polymer-framed handguns feeding from capacious magazines?

Maine’s big fall hunting seasons are ending for the year. The state’s “big four” game animals are black bears, wild turkeys, white-tailed deer and moose. The seasons for bears, deer and moose all ended on Saturday, and the turkey season ended earlier in the month. Maine wildlife managers have encouraged more hunting these past two years because it’s a socially distant activity. |

Beneath a trending avalanche of subterfuge and rhetoric, and shockwave after shockwave of violent uprisings deteriorate into chaos, the major population centers up and down the left coast are burning examples of misplaced empathy and cratering to special interests by elected officials resulting in Dystopia. Like a scene out of “A Clockwork Orange”, a swarm of ultraviolet clowns descended upon a swanky business district and feasted upon the spoils of a clothing store. |

External safeties are one of those hot topics that tend to be a “love them or hate them” argument. Many savvy gun owners who have carried for years will tell you that you don’t need one. But many new concealed carriers feel more comfortable knowing an external safety is just one more step between their trigger finger and a negligent discharge. Regardless, quite a few long-time and new gun owners choose pistols with manual safeties because it came with the gun when they bought it or it is just what they prefer. |

If you’ve ever wanted to stir up a hornet’s nest, all you need to do is go onto any hunting forum and pose the question, “Which is better, 270 or 243?” Then just sit back and watch the fireworks like it’s the 4th of July.
The 243 Winchester and 270 Winchester are two centerfire rifle cartridges that shooters predominantly use for varmint hunting or whitetail, antelope, or mule deer. |

More than 50 Republican House members are warning the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, (ATF) may be quietly working behind the scenes to put a gun registry in place. FOX News reports Rep. Mike Cloud (R-TX) and 50 of his colleagues sent a letter to ATF Director Marvin Richardson earlier this week, and used the letter to sound the alarm on a possible registry. |
